Bachelor of Busines Administration [BBA]

Course Curriculum Overview :

An entire business-oriented course was designed by the senior faculty members and the university. They included some extra topics which were quite helpful. Also, we gave exams every six-months as final semester exams and before that, we gave internal exams with final submissions.

Placement Experience :

In my view, there are few options for jobs at the university placement center for the students but the interviewers gave more preference to the students who are about to graduate with a master's degree. In my batch, mostly everyone was going to do masters from the same or other institutes to increase the job prospects.

College Events :

The institute organizes sports events where students form teams and completion is held. Also, the college students won prizes in several games. Apart from it all, there are seminars based on recent technology so that students get all the appropriate knowledge about the same.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

For the BBA course of three years, the students pay 25,875 per year. The amount is the same for the next two years and also it includes the exam fees and tuition fees with library fees. The total expense for this course accounts for 77,625 for every student. There are several other charges to be paid as the semester proceeds.

Campus Life :

There are clubs formed by students themselves and they organize these activities like yoga day where everyone does yoga in the morning at the main campus. Also, with the permission of the official committee, students showcase their work during the curriculum and after that, there is a music festival where a known singer is invited.

Alumni/Alumna :

I had quite a nice experience when I first talked with alumni students who visited the campus and I got to know several new things regarding the curriculum and the campus. Also, I have good contact with the senior students.

Admission :

Here, the application mode is online so I applied with my higher secondary result and another academic document at the admission portal available at the official website of the university. The admission process proceeds when the profile gets evaluated and the eligibility criteria are matched after which the counseling and fees payment process start.

Faculty :

All the faculties taught in their ways preferable but it was good as everything they taught was based on the course and practical approach towards the field. They gave lectures on various complex topics and explained them in detail.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The content of the course is very much relevant to the field of study. The course curriculum is strictly derived from the AICTE'S directions. The teaching method in the college is traditional using the board method. But from past some time, the smart boards have been provided in almost every department, but in some classrooms the smart boards are still missing. The exams are held after fixed time intervals. The dates for sessional exams are fixed by the heads of the department and their timing is 1.5 hours. The finals are held per b University rules and are of 3 hours duration.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because of my interest in Mathematics. There is no shortage of faculty. (For example- In our practical class we always have 2-3 teachers). All the faculty members are well qualified and their teaching method is quite good. Our college follows a semester system(I.e. semester exams occur after every 6 months). One has to work hard to qualify for this semester exam.

To get admission in Cluster university of Jammu, you need to get good scores in the CLUJET entrance exam held by the college. The process for registration is entirely online and is pretty simple. Some course also consider the merit, but it varies from course to course.

Placement Experience:

There is much scope for improvement in this area. There are job fairs and such organised but they are few and far in between. They provide us with enough resources for getting a good job, such as certifications so it is not much of a big problem.

Remarks:

I have one negative remark for my college is that the extra curriculum should be taken more seriously as there is no indoor sports complex and no auditorium for different event for our college. College should adopt relative marking grading structure.
