Remarks :
The course management website at my time was very bad at iit delhi. also for any small tasks, we have to go to the UG section where government office like situation prevails and mostly you have to roam around a lot to get your task done.
Entrance Preview :
IIT-JEE. I opt for the CSE IITD because IITD is one of the best engineering colleges and the city is also very good to groom yourself.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Course curricullum was very hard. For dual degree we have to complete 216 credits in five years. Out of these, 30 credits were open electives, 24 credits for department electives, 16 for program electives, 20 credits for Major mtech project, 4 credit for minor project and rest were departmental core courses.
Internships Opportunities :
I did my internship in a tech startup called Invoxel. General stipend at IITD for CSE student is 20 thousands nowadays. I was also paid the same. We have to do intenship after completing three years in the college.
Placement Experience :
From the CSE department, 100 percent of the students get placed each year. placement season starts from the first of december. On the first day, around 35-40 companies come. Google, facebook, microsoft all these big companies come on first day. Some of them also go international.
College Events :
There are several technical, cultural and management festivals in IIT delhi each year. The biggest cultural festival is Rendezvous which is organized in october every year. Apart from this, speranza is also there which comes in both cultural and management festivals. There is a technical festival also which is organized in March every year and also a sport festival which is also organised in march every year.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Fee structure was good at my time. We have to pay around 30 thousands per semester tution fee and 20 thousands per semester hostel fee. Nowadays it is around 50 thousands per semester tution fee and hostel fee is still 20 thousands per semester.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
There were several loans and scholarships available in IITD delhi. I havent availed any of them but I know about them. There was one merit cum means scholarship which is for limited students on the basis of their parents yearly income. You have to score a minimum of 6/10 CGPA to continue the scholarship every semester.
Campus Life :
Campus life at iit delhi was great. Itgives you everything to groom ones personality if you use it wisely. Any thing you want is available there. There were lots and lots of activities in which you could take part. Speak of any acitivity and it will be avialable there like any sport, robotics, debates. The quality of such events was also good. You can take part in any good or bad level competiton depending on your talent.
Hostel Facilities :
Facilities in the hostel was good. We are provided with many activities there. There was a big TV room, table tennis, computer room, fine arts room, badminton court, basket ball court in each hostel. But the availability of room was not very good at IIT delhi. We were provided single rooms from the fourth year. Mess food was bad. Mostly we have to eat outside.
Alumni/Alumna :
You become the alumini after you passed out from the college. There is a alumini card given to you after you clear your no dues. Alumni network is great. There is reunion organized each year at iit delhi for different batches. they are very great and alumni do attend such events. Many aluni and students work for the alumni network in iit delhi.
Exam Structure :
There were three examination at iit delhi. minor1, minor 2 and a major examination. Weightage of examination is decided by the corresponding course faculty. Labs in CSE are not very frequent. Instead of labs we had home assignments which are more hectic than the labs itself. We do these assignments by managing the time according to their deadlines.
Faculty :
Faculty was great in the computer science department. All the profs were PHDs from worlds best engineering institutions. One of them was AIR 1 of IIT JEE examination.
