Course Curriculum Overview :
It was a total of 180 credits programs with following components:111 Core courses (Mandatory to get B.Tech Degree)21 Departmental Electives courses 16 Humanities courses 32 General elective courses.
Internships Opportunities :
It was compulsory to do 2 month summer internship just after 3rd year in summer breaks. A lot of good companies visited the campus to recruit interns. Although stipend is dependent upon the company and that somehow depends upon your department. Stipend range varied from zero to 50k per month.
Placement Experience :
Placements and job opportunities were in abundance in my college and people got placed according to their preferences in different industries. Students were placed in companies in the domain of IT, Finance, Consultancy, Core branches, Research, Teaching, PSUs etc. Domestic package were as high as 40 lakh per annum in some cases.International package went upto $200k.
College Events :
There were many kind of college event which include:Rendezvous: Cultural Fest (assumed 2nd biggest cult fest in India)Tryst: Technical FestSperanza : BSW conducted Sportech: Sport FestOpen House: To showcase research and innovation done by Institute
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Given the quality and prestige of education in my institute the fees is very economical and it is worth to pay for this kind of experience. For the same infrastructure and quality of eduction most of the other institutes would charge at least 3 times.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
There are lot of scholarships provided by the alumni and other institutions to cover the cost of education. For the families having income below 4.5 lakhs per annum there is a provision of MCM (Merit cum means) scholarship and in my institution it is provided to all the students satisfying the criteria, it makes you able to complete your education.
Campus Life :
In my opinion, it was one of the best campus life which include very competitive education, variety of Junta (People) to learn almost everything you need in your graduation, labs are full of equipments, facilities of sports. Many clubs for creational activities and a lot of competitions were there to bring best out of you. Robotics and debating were famous clubs in my college and everybody has freedom to choose what they want. There were abundance of resources in my institution, it's all about how you use them.
Hostel Facilities :
Infrastructure of old Hostel is not that good and mess food was very bad. Although nobody effects with these things in my institute and in the end everybody enjoys hostel life a lot. It's all about the community and culture you get in the hostel other things people manage over the time.
Alumni/Alumna :
The most powerful thing and worldwide prestige of my institution was because of its alumni which are in a very prominent positions in almost every field of industry and government. When you enter the institution your best friends are your senior. From knowing about your academics to hostel politics, you learn everything from your seniors.
Exam Structure :
There is one thing which nobody in my college can never forget is the number of exams. We had 2 minors exam (within 2 months) and 1 major exams (end of semester). The weightage of these exams are set by course coordinator. Apart from these two exams there were lot of surprises quizzes, announced quizzes, assignments and small projects.
Faculty :
Faculties in my institution were highly qualified and each one was having there own strengths and weaknesses. PhD Degree is compulsory to become faculty in my institute so all were highly intellectual and were from very prestigious institutions across the world.
