Remarks :

My college has made me a much better person IIT Delhi is the best college.

Entrance Preview :

I gave IIT JEE, I opted bachelor of technology in chemical engineering and I chose this college because its best college of India.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I had opted for chemical engineering, In my department there were all types of elective (inter & intra department) courses are available. You have to complete 180 credits for completing your bachelor degree out of which 120 credits are compulsory & remaining are electives.

Internships Opportunities :

Approximately 30-40 companies came for providing summer internship, namely Reliance India Limited, Schlumberger, British Gas, Indian Oil Corporations, Bharat Petroleum Corporations, National Fertilizers Limited etc. From Rs.5000 to Rs.20000 per month of stipend were offered.

Placement Experience :

I had my college placement in year 2008, In that year a major recession was there. approximately 60-70 companies were open for chemical engineers. I got placed GAIL India Limited & they offered me CTC of 11 Lakhs PA.

College Events :

We had cultural festival named rendezvous (Which is biggest cultural festival in north India), and we had technical festival named Tryst (Which is also the biggest technical festival in north India) and apart from this we had one annual inter college sports competition.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

At that time it was approximately Rs.15000 (Fifteen thousand) per semester and Mess fees around Rs.8000 (Eight thousand) per semester apart from this there were no extra charges.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Yes there were Merit cum means scholarship were available and bank loans were also available very easily without any surety.

Campus Life :

You cannot get better campus life than IIT Delhi apart from gender ratio was 10:1 (boy:girls) you will get the best campus life there in every field i.e. Sports, Cultural, Politics, Technical, Diversity etc.

Hostel Facilities :

I had spent my four years of college in Aravali hostel, This hostel were made in 1960's so it is very old designed and they have very small rooms up to second year of my graduation we get twin sharing room and after that we get single occupancy room. Mess food was substandard like in all colleges facilities in Hostel, TV room, TT Room, Mess, Carom Board Room, Common Meeting Hall, Two Lawns, Basket Ball Court, Computer Room.

External Expense : Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna :

Time to time alumni meets were organized by college managementor hostel management. Alumni network of my college is very strong seniors are all helpful and cooperative.

Exam Structure :

Exams were too frequent in my college, it structured like this1. Minor Test-12. Minor Test-23. Major test normally they conclude one all exams in four days, so approximately you have to give 6-7 exams in period of four days, and apart from this there were very frequent surprise quizzes also.

Faculty :

I think we have the best faculty of India available in my department, maximum faculties of my department were alumni of IIT's itself & they were highly qualified. All the laboratories are of world class standard.

IIT DELHI INSIDE STORY

Placement Experience:

All the big Mncs and heavily paying firms come to our college . Most of then are open for every students. But some only open for top branches. Placement are best in iits but some students go for UPSC and other for MBA or higher studies , so the percentage drops.

The college placement record is superb. The placement was the main reason for me to be part of the college. The college management and placement committee work together to improve the placement quality and standards of the college. The college manages a record of 100% placements. My aunt was the teacher in this college and my jee rank was good so in my jee rank i got the best college and its fees is less so there was no prblm. And there is strictness for studies. The students should have 75%attendence.

Placement of this college is too good as avg is 11 lakh per annum so the college as the mass recruiters like infosis and amazon and flipkart and byjus come in our college to give job to our honourable students the avg income of mechanical student from mait is 20 lakh per annum
