Remarks :
Being an alumni of the Ramco Institute of Technology, I can easily recommend the University to anyone wanting to pursue a Bachelors in a good technological institute at an affordable price. The College has highly supportive faculties, degree programs are versatile and a place with mesmerizing scenic beauty around you. I bet, you will love to be a part of RIT.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I love Computer Science and I love to code. For me Computer is the most passionate field to study and work. Being so much passionate about computer science, I chose Ramco Institute of Technology to pursue Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science and Engineering and now I feel like I took the perfect decision to study from RIT. The course curriculum is regularly updated and are mainly focused on industry standards. Being an affiliated college under Anna University, the syllabus and the exam structure are same. Three internals are conducted and the internal marks are added up, which is then added to the semester marks.
Placement Experience :
The CSE department periodically organised Conferences, Symposium, Workshops, Project Expo, Hackathon and Coding Competitions, various technical and non-technical events through Professional society, technical and non-technical clubs to help us update the practical knowledge about the industry. We were regularly encouraged to participate in various inter-disciplinary and industry sponsored contests, research and Mini Projects, as well as Co-curricular, Extra Curricular (Sports and Social) and cultural activities throughout the year across the country. After all these, we gave placement interviews which seemed a lot easy as we had practiced all these from very long time. Near about 78% students of my batch got selected in either of the companies. The highest salary package offered was ?34,000 per month and the lowest being ?15,000 per month. The average salary package offered was ?3,00,000 per annum.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The fee structure at Ramco Institute of Technology is very nominal when compared to the other colleges. The Tuition fee is just ? 50,000 per annum including college service charge, books and study materials, etc... and the Accomodation and Transportation fee is ? 75,000 calculated annually.
Campus Life :
Our College organises lots of events. Cultural programs include dancing, singing, drawing competitions. TechFests are organised on a yearly basis. Some events include circuit debugging, line follower, hackathon, coding competitions, PUBG tournaments, and other games and tech related tournaments. IEEE organizes many events at our College campus. We have all kinds of sports and games like basketball, football, cricket and all other indoor games.
Admission :
The best part of admission process is that it doesn't require an entrance exam. So, first of all, I cleared my 10+2 examination with good marks which helped me get a decent cut-off. The cut-off was then taken into consideration for the counselling conducted by TNEA where I applied for B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering at Ramco Institute of Technology and luckily I got selected. Generally, the Cut-off percentage is 45% aggregate in the Higher Secondary Examination.
Faculty :
The Department has well qualified, experienced and dedicated faculty team, state-of-the-art Infrastructure for various laboratories, a well-equipped seminar hall, Wi-Fi enabled classrooms to support e-learning with Projectors and a department Library. Most faculty members are very motivating and supportive, and guided us throughout the 4 years of our degree program. Most of the professors have a PhD in their majors and are really great teachers to learn from.
