Remarks :
The college was one of the best parts of my life even though we had a small campus, we thoroughly enjoyed being in college and spending time with friends and faculty. The teachers are so loving and friendly and there is a very good relationship with the Students.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Bcom is the course. Total of 6 semesters. Around 30 subjects are there in total excluding one project in the final semester. Bcom is like a base in the accounting works. One needs to know the basics for joining higher studies. About the add on course is Gst. It is also a relavant couse nowadays.
Placement Experience :
Because of COVID many companies didn't come. Companies that offered placement are Deloitte, Hedge Equities, southerland, etc.
College Events :
All indian fetivals onam, Christmas, holi etc. Then intercollege competitions etc. Quiz Competition, with prize money worth Rs 10, 000, was the first event. Other exciting competitions, including Dance war, Rubix puzzle solving contest, face-painting competition and many more, were also held.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
It's feasible. The fee structure is feasible when compared with other colleges and this college does not any scholarship for students so they can earn money while studying but the fees is feasible for an average family. now it costs 20-25 thousand each semester.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
I didn't opt. I am unaware of any college scholarship or loan facility provided by the college to any of its students. Also since it's a private college and the fees was so high as compared to other mg university colleges - only those students who could afford the fees would join the college - need for a loan wouldn't be actually required.
Campus Life :
The college had a mix of students belonging to various castes and religion - however everyone was considered equal and values from all religions were respected. The number of boys almost mostly exceed the number of girls The college faculty always encouraged the students to participate in college fests and we were allowed time to even practice.
Hostel Facilities :
No. I stayed at my own house. There was no hostel facility for the students. Students who came from different cities had to find their own living space. The college canteen was also very small and consisted only of snacks and not lunch. However since the college is centrally located it's always easy to find a house and food.
Alumni/Alumna :
Being a small college almost everyone knew each other. The seniors are always helpful and also guide us with college activities. The college encourages students to come back to the college and describe their professional experience which also helps a lot of students who are confused about their future.
Admission :
After taking commerce I decided to go for Bcom. Chinmaya college is near to my home. Applied for admission, Called for interview, admission was allotted on merit basis. And I was selected. This whole process takes about 1 month. The fee I paid is 27000 for semester 1 and about 20000 for other semester. I also had a add on program in my college.
Faculty :
The best faculty ever had I my life. I have never seen such supportive faculties. They are with us always. Really experienced teachers. Uses live examples, short notes etc. Makes the subject topics simple. And also shows ppt to make classes more interesting.
