SDC( St Dominics College) was an awesome place to grow, shape your self as a better social being. The college activities was helped me to grow in various sense. Actually i didnt find anything negative. In my prospect everything was fine in my college
Course Curriculum Overview :
Exam structure was credit based semester system. In the question paper there will 4 sections Part A B C D. Part A contains 2 marks questions. Part B includes 4 Marks Part C 8 Marks and finally 15 mark questions which comes under part D. Actually courses curriculum should be practical oriented what i have studied is theories oriented. This should be changed.
Placement Experience :
No, my college doesn't provide internships. Because it was a art and science college. We had a dedicated placement cell. Which is coordinated by one of the best faculties. Most of the students were placed through campus selection. Even i was also placed through this. We had mock interview sections soft skills development programs with regards to this.
College Events :
We had many celebrations during my college time. Almost all special days like Onam, Christmas, World environmental day etc, were celebrated in my college. It was really grand also. As a part of various celebrations we had always some interactive sections with the cheif guest presented in the programs
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Yeah. Fee structure was very economical. Actually studying in Kerala in merit seats is very economical. Actually my total expense to the whole period of degree might be maximum of 15000 including all the fees and travel expenses
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
I had received Central sector scholarship. Total scholarship was 30000 that is 10000 for each year. Degree was 3 years. College administrative staff was very cautious about informing varous scholarship dates. This scholarship was merit based
Campus Life :
I was very active in various extracurricular activities. I was active participant in shuttle, table tennis and football. We had a very big ground. Not only that but also i had participated in various cultural programs conducted in my college.
Hostel Facilities :
No. I was a regular student. Actually we had a normal hostel facility for boys and girls. Infrastructure was basic. Food was also good. That is its worth enough for the hostel fee. Hostel was very near to the college. And was run by priest and Nuns.
Alumni/Alumna :
We had a strong communication with alumnies. The college and department its self had a special community network in the internet. During my studies i had a better and healthy relationship with not only with my seniors but also with my juniors. Seniors are very helpful in studies and all other activities. They even given their old text books to us.
Admission :
I was actually got admission through online merit portal of university. 1st i had applied through the admission portal of university which is common to all students. In the trial allotment itsself i got admission.after 1st allotment i got a joining call and i went to college for reviewing my certificate and paying admission fee. The fee was very minimum say 2000 even i dont have any reservation. After reviewing and paying admission fee i was allotted admission number. That was tha procedure. It was very simple.
Faculty :
Faculties was very awesome, knowledgeable, experienced and expertised. Apart from the syllabus they were trying to mould us a better personality who is capable of getting better job and better social life. They were very lenient in clarifying doubts. They initiated various programs for our growth.
