Course Curriculum Overview :
The curriculum was excellent from Mahatma Gandhi University. Exams were semester based. Total there are eight semesters that will include practicals and theory exams. Campus placements will be there in third and fourth year. Industrial visits will be held in every odd semester like S3, s5 and s7.
Placement Experience :
Placements are conducted in my college. But for us Mechanical there were not much placements related to our field during my study period.
College Events :
College Annual day Sports Day Arts day etc. Of course the events are big as usual. there will be celebrities guests, social worker guests and will have great competitions amount different branches. Its all fun you know. Sports day will have cricket tournaments, basket ball, volley ball and athletics.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The fee structure is feasible and the mode of payment is yearly. There are additional fees/charges that had to be paid in order to secure an admission to your course. But not in my case but I know in some cases. Yes, the college provide transparency in the fee-breakdown.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
I don't had an educational loan. I'm not sure about the scholarship opportunities offered by the college.
Campus Life :
Gender Ratio is 50: 50. The college is promoting students for developing their extra curricular activities. there is no gender diversity. Labs are all of high standards and of latest machines. Sports competitions, students are participating and are encouraged for higher participation.
Hostel Facilities :
I want to do the course in my nearby location and wanted to be a day-scholar. I know about hostels they are neat and clean. Separate hostels for Men and Women and are secured. All the facilities are there like Mess, laundry, stores, transport etc.
Alumni/Alumna :
We are all connected through our alumni network. We will be meeting our seniors and even that helps in getting better career opportunities.
Admission :
I'm Interested in Mechanical Engineering, I want to do the course in my nearby location and wanted to be a day-scholar. Got admission via entrance examination. I selected Caarmel College because that is one of the best college available nearby. I'm from 2008-2012 batch Mechanical Engineering.
Faculty :
There were a good amount of Lecturers present in my college. The courses offered were Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil, IT, Electronics and electrical engineering, computer science etc. The faculties are highly qualified and having masters in engineering. I'm not sure about their relevant industrial experience.
