Remarks :

CMR University is a private university. CMR University aims to promote and undertake the advancement of university education across a plethora of disciplines engineering, management, architecture, law and other allied sectors of higher and professional education. The University also aims to equip students with the required skills and knowledge to pursue a successful career in their chosen field of study.

Course Curriculum Overview :

So basically there are 6 semesters for the whole course. each semester consists of 6 months and hence 3 years. coming back to the curriculum there is like 6 subjects approx in every semester. main subjects will have 6 classes per week and the other sub subjects will have around 4 or 2 classes per week. every third Saturday will be given as a holiday. there is one free hour ( i. e. lunch hour) everyday. college timings are from 9 AM to 4 PM but it usually depends on the classes. Saturday timings are from 9 AM to 12 PM. Odd semesters are from July to December. Even semesters are from January to June. Exams will commerce from May for even semester. Exams will commerce from November for odd semester.

Placement Experience :

An internship should give you practical skills, workplace experience and greater knowledge of that industry, in exchange for the employer benefiting from your labour. Having an internship gives you experience in the career field you want to pursue. Not only does this give individuals an edge over other candidates when applying for jobs, it also prepares them for what to expect in their field and increases confidence in their work. Cmr has a lot of requiters so getting a job would not be an issue after graduation.

College Events :

The School of Management has 8 different clubs that appeal to diverse interests and issues of students. These clubs focused on sports, hobbies, the arts, and ethnic and cultural interests. Open to all students, the clubs plan events and activities throughout the year. Clubs play a vital role in supporting and enhancing every aspect of experience and exposure needed by student. From celebrating cultural diversity to offering professional guidance and support, clubs are created, run and shaped by students along with faculty. Clubs function as an exchange for both past experiences and new ideas, supplementing the collaborative academic environment that is the per-requisite of this era. School of Management have the following clubs Finance club Economics Club Literature Club Music Club Dance Club.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

For someone from an middle class family, it is very expensive. but to get a good education my parents do not mind spending money. I hope this was helpful. And the cost of fees for a year would be 1 lakh and 09 thousand. with all the books and other things it would cost around 1 lakh 20 thousand a year.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

College did not offer scholarship to me, my parents paid off the fees. As I stterd earlier, my parents will spend to fullest for my education. we haven't opted for an loans yet, by gods grace that has not happened.

Campus Life :

Diversity is a term that can have many different meanings depending on context. This module will not offer a comprehensive definition of the term, instead, this module will highlight two key areas related to diversity. Identify how diversity affects the classroom. Provide practical tips for promoting an inclusive classroom. Much discussion about diversity focuses on the following forms of marginalization: race, class, gender, and sexual orientation — and rightfully so, given the importance of these forms of difference. In fact, students come to the university classroom with different backgrounds, sets of experiences, cultural contexts, and world views. Honestly though, CMR does not discriminate any gender or Sexual orientation or color.

Alumni/Alumna :

Yes, they are very much helpful. you can go to any senior and they would talk to you like they're your friend and will certainly tell you to reach out to them.

Admission :

B.Com is an undergraduate degree in commerce and related subjects. The course is designed to provide students with a wide range of managerial skills and understanding in streams like finance, accounting, taxation, and management. Whereas ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), also known as Global CA is the world’s fastest-growing accounting professional body. With 188, 000 members and 480, 000 students, ACCA has established its presence in over 180 countries across the world. So, basically what you are asking is an integrated course wherein an individual gets a UG degree along with a global qualification. ACCA is really a great option and what would be better than backing this with a degree. You can for sure pursue this and take this up as a future option. Admissions will begin from april.

Faculty :

I had a finance professor who had a different philosophy than every other teacher. He wanted to ensure students in college enjoyed their time and did not stress about everything. He taught that, in the business world, it is essential to be able to socialize with peers. This teacher would set-up activities for us outside of class to enable networking with people in the finance industry. One professor inspired me to pursue an area of study, Classics that I wasn't familiar with at all, but he was so passionate about it. His breadth of knowledge blew me away and sparked a passion for learning. He was also instrumental in convincing me to study abroad for a summer. I had a fantastic experience that I will never forget. I can never repay him for all the experiences he made possible.

Placement Experience:

For the day college, there are placements. Every year a lot of start-up companies or small scale companies come for campus interview. A lot of students are selected. But the package is around 1.8 - 2 lacs per year. For evening college I don't they have campus placements. We have to look for jobs ourselves. I plan on doing internships and learn after my graduation.
