It is one of the best colleges in Coimbatore. Or in Tamilnadu.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Yes. We selected a good department and studied well with the guidance of the faculties. Even though they were new they got a good guidance from the near by Polytechnic and our Special Officer appointed by the Management in place of Principal. SO was so strict in making us in good shape.

Class Size : 60Course Fees : INR 400000 per year

Placement Experience :

No. At that time it was not. But now the college has all the facilities. The college takes care of the students at the best. We are proud to say - product of KCT.

College Events :

Lot to say. Sports and games whenever time permits. Every six months we had been invited by the Management for making us BIG PUSH with new events and tests etc. We had been awarded for various better results. Even after 30 years we are happy while recollecting.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

It is normal. Earlier it was lesser. But now it becomes one of the best private engineering colleges and so they start slowly little more fees. And for kids of Alumnus they charge lesser. Any way it is worth to pay and get admission. The college will make the boy better.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

We did not avail any loan as our father did not like that. He made us in a proud way until he was alive.

Campus Life :

Gender ratio 10:2 when we were studying boys were more and lesser girls only studied. Now it is like 10: 6 but our college period was different. we were strictly watched and tracked when were going out. The college management took more interest on our development.

Hostel Facilities :

No. As our house was near the college earlier. My father expired in 1985 and so we wanted to be day scholar. In the final year we were with our friend near college and studied. It was accepted by then college,

Alumni/Alumna :

Yes. It is good until now. we are being called every year for the functions. It is being celebrated in grand way.

Admission :

Based on marks in +2 and rank in the exam. We applied for the Engineering Courses individually. Based on the rank we have been called for admission from the college. We were the first batch of the exam pattern in 1984. We were fortunate in getting admission. At that time three new engineering colleges had been started.

Faculty :

They were good in teaching and guiding. Some were from the near by Polytechnic and some were new appointments. Put together they made us in good shape and good score. We were so happy while studying as it was new atmosphere for us. We went from school atmosphere to college atmosphere and we had been taken care well.

Average college but a good place to study on your own

Placement Experience:

The campus placements start in the 7th semester. Due to the recession, there is a lot of backlash when it comes to placements. It has been quite poor for the last few years. But it depends on how the student is prepared for the competitive world.

Students who pursuing five and sixth semesters onwards are eligible to attend the placements and internship. Mostly the IT companies are visited frequently and core companies are low. The Highest package is 9LPA. The percentage of college placement is 78 percent. I planned to make higher studies after my degree.

Reality of Veltech

Placement Experience:

Placement is good for the CSE and IT departments. You can't expect placement if you belong to other departments, there is a placement for the other departments but very less. Campus placement starts in 3rd year itself. They have special classes for Aptitude skills and interview preparation GD and necessary preparations for job placement opportunities. 90% of students from CSE and IT get placed. The average package is 7.5 LPA you can expect a minimum of 3.5 LPA. If you are willing to go for higher studies you can contact the international relation office they have good relations with other universities abroad, they have students exchange programs, research scholarships etc if you are not planning to seat in placement. I plan for higher studies and research after my Btech.

Best place ever visited. My Sweet College.

Placement Experience:

The placements in my college is very good and top companies hire students across every branch with a good amount of package. At the end of 3rd year every student is elegible for the placements in college. About 20 to 25 companies visited for campus hiring and approximately 700 offers were given across the college from every branch. 60 percentage of students got placed in the campus hiring program. Highest package is 24 LPA and the aveyis 5LPA. My plan is to get into a good MNC company which is related to Aerospace technology.
