My Idea of my second home

Remarks :

In general my college is good for every student but only thing I feel is that there should have been provisions for economically weaker sections.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The college being autonomous they regularly update the syllabus based on the demand of the industry and that I do feel is an important advantage for us. The basics of the languages of python, JavaScript, C++ have formed an important part of the syllabus. Apart from it study of networks and databases is also an integral part of the syllabus. So far there have been no such industrial visits from our college.

Placement Experience :

As far as the college prospectus companies like TCS, wipro, L&T, and other such IT companies. The general steps for the recruitment include 1.Project 2.Interview There is no specific number of students as such who get placed rather everybody gets placed. There occurs a mock interview in the third year perhaps(being in the 1st year I have no significant idea) Also various personality development seminars are held which I feel does really help improving public speaking.

College Events :

Various events such as: 1.The B K Birla festival 2.Science Fairs 3.Awareness seminars for various fields 4.Sports such as: Shooting, cricket, football, gymnastics, athletics, archery, etc. 5.NCC camps and treks which help in understanding about the nature and the society.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Direct payment of fees is a system that is followed through cheques. There is no such extra fees for admission, but I would have really liked it if there was a fee exemption on the basis of merit. Transparency is provided by giving a detailed receipt about the total distribution of fees.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The scholarship opportunities were for the students on the basis of caste. Though as I have said I would have liked it if the college had a provision of scholarship on the basis of merit as well.

Campus Life :

Equal opportunities for both girls and boys is a good atmosphere in our college. No idea about any student parties. Field based societies such as Art club, literature club, commerce club, electronics clubs, etc. No intolerance at all on the basis of anything such as gender, caste, race, religion, political, etc.

Hostel Facilities :

No, as I have said the college is just 4 kms from my house and hence there is no need of a hostel. Since this block requires 200 characters hence I have to fill it by saying that hostel characteristics is something that I do not have even a faintest idea of, as I did never feel the need to enquire about it.

Alumni/Alumna :

Not interacted with many seniors and hence no specific opinion. Generally all the seniors help us in engaging in different activities and programs in the college.

Admission :

Firstly I have an interest in games and in knowing about how these games are coded hence, I chose IT as the course. Also I was aiming to prepare for the UPSC CSE examination and hence I wanted to avoid long travel and fatigue. Now regarding the admission process, first of all I had to go to the college and get the college login ID. Then I went to the college website and logged in and filled the necessary details in it. Finally there was the fee payment and thus was completed the admission process.

Faculty :

For our course we have 5 major lecturers and some substitute teachers as well. The major lecturers are all known to have an experience of 10+ teaching years in the college and they significantly help in understanding the concepts by speaking in both English and Hindi. As far as their industry experience goes there is no specific idea that I do have about it. So I will conclude that the faculty does teach really well and the only problem I would say is that if the teachers do get angry, then they punish us by not taking the lectures(I would rather have a good assignment as a punishment!)

Course Curriculum Overview:

The thing that influenced to opt for this course were the job opportunities like after completing my masters in microbiology i can work as a lab technician in a science lab where i work on genes cells and many more things which i am comoletely interested in. According to there are no such areas which needs improvement in the course curriculum and teaching methods. The exams were easy for me but a bit tricky too .

Course Curriculum Overview:

Using BSE as my course is due to, they will of joining defence forces as defence doesn't need any high-level of education, but moderate one. So I decided to continue with Bsc in Physics as I was in first year. I had three subjects that is physics chemistry maths later on, on second year, I dropped Maths and continued with chemistry and physics is currently I am pursing my second year. I have decided that in third year, I will continue with Physics as there is best faculty, best teachers with all the good experiences and communication. as coming to difficulty levels of exam, if you are attainable in college, then you don't need to have any kind of extra classes as well as mentorship from any third person

In my course, there are no placements as such, but you do get a scholarship if you do your master's here. there are mostly startups who come for recruitment. The packages vary depending on the courses. most of the students don't take college placements. I am planning to master after completing my bachelor's degree.

After Sem 4 students are eligible for placements. Companies such as TCS, Wipro, Infosys, LTI and others visit colleges for placement. Packages vary from company to company it starts from 3.5 L to 4.5/5 L. Percentage of students getting placements are 40-50% . It totally depends on students who want to apply for jobs. My plans are to doing masters in IT and do a job in one of the reputed companies. Also I have cleared aptitude round for Wipro company.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course to explore my knowledge in IT background. The faculty is quite amazing. Everyone is supportive and kind to students. They also guide students if they are weak or they have some doubts. They also support extra-curricular activities for students like they tell students to participate and explore college life in sports, other colleges fests. The student ratio was 60 per class with different faculties for different subjects. The qualification of the faculty are Masters and PhD level some are doing PhD and others have completed their's masters. Teachers pay attention to every student. The exams were term based like we have internals after every 2 months and then after that semester and the practical exam was scheduled. Internals were comparatively easy than other exams.

During last semester students can opt for campus placements. Most of the students opt for higher studies. Highest package last year was 6 LPA. My plan is to pursue higher studies in Zoology in this college itself as the Master's Degree Faculty is also as good as Bachelor's Degree Faculty.
