The course curriculum is very well structured by eminent scientists of IITs, TIFR. Academic is pretty much good. No peer pressure. It's a free life. Prof. Sankaran Subramanian, Prof. Sankararaman. Prof. I Ibnusaud.

Internships Opportunities :

I've got an internship at the Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai. A stipend of 6000 rupees.

College Events :

The campus life is really good. The campus is a whole hill covered with Forrest. So it feels like we're within nature. There are many cultural and technical festivals organised by the university. Annual meet of department of students Union, it's the annual day of the university. Various exhibitions by every department. Invited lectures from Nobel laureates and eminent persons. International conferences. Colloquiums.

Campus Life :

Our institute is situated in the Mahatma Gandhi university campus. We have all the facilities of the university. Good WiFi, award winning library, modern instrumentation labs. Crores of rupees worth instruments

Hostel Facilities :

We've a dormitory above our institute which is really good. The dormitory is very much spacious. They are well maintained. There is no hostel fees. Our course is a residential programme so no fees is taken for hostel.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My decision to choose MSc mathematics at Farook College is because of the systematic curriculum they are to be provided. It is quite useful for getting a high-quality of education. They prepared real-world applications. I suggest the curriculum should be prepared according to the preferences of students. The exams ae semester-wise.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am very interested in a teaching career especially teaching mathematics, so a teacher should understand the subject matter in depth, I chose to select MSc maths after completing my bachelor's degree. We have numerical analysis, cryptography, computer programming, and boolean algebra as papers of applied mathematics, we can find its applications in computer coding, data analysis, engineering, etc. We can be a data analyst after completing MSc maths, after studing a six-month data analysis course. The curriculum should be improved by giving a space for data analysis papers in one of the semesters. The frequency and timing of exams are well scheduled, the course is not surely an easy one but can be cracked by little effort.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Our batch was in Covid lag batch. So the course curriculum was highly rushed. We weren't able to cover aspects which would have real world applications. The last semester research project was fine but still more hands on experience and more research oriented approach could've been taken .

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am a graduate in biotechnology so for me genomic science was ideal as I was interested in it. There could be more experiments in the practical sessions and more placement opportunities. As of now there are no placements. Also the department could bring in some international and national conferences too.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities are very high. We get a minimum package of 6.5 lakhs per annum and more. The top end companies like EY , Deloitte, Tcs , federal bank, IBM, Tetrapark etc.. are available for us.

Placement Experience:

There are departments with placements and university has got a placement cell. There are also various career guidance classes, Innovation and entrepreneurship development centre(IEDC) to support students. But my course is more of a research oriented and as such I can apply for phd opportunities myself. The faculties will help in getting internships, recommendations and journal publications as long as long as we are interested.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Talking about the course, as it is a pg course the main thing is the effort we put in this subject. The teachers has a limit and it is always the effort we put from our side to complete the course. Frankly speaking, the course is a tough one. Syllabus is so long that many things are there to study.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for the placement in their final year of the course. We have BS-MS, MSc, IPhD and PhD currently. Students from BS-MS are more likely to be placed. Though placement is less as students mostly go for research after masters. We have a placement cell that notifies about the opportunities in industries and academia. As my plans are to pursue a PhD after getting this degree so I never got interested in placement opportunity.
