Student's Review On Shree Devi Institute Of Technology - [SDIT], Mangalore

Remarks :

My senior friend suggested this college to me and their performance with CSE branch was good. Many students from the CSE department got place from this college. I wanted to tale CSE and this college seemed fine.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Our college follows VTU bord, the teachers try their best to make the students understand the subject. The subject are ok for now but as year passes the syllabus keeps on changing. Hence every year there will be something new, at least a few changes in the subject. CSE/ISE students have project as part of subject. They have to build real world softwares. 3 mini projects will be there, one on database another on computer graphics and the last one on web. In the final year there will be a major project where students have to come up with new or improved software that will help others.

Placement Experience :

The placement activity for CSE/ISE students are high. Nearly 100+ students get places and most of them will be from CSE and ISE department. Many well known CSE company come to college for placement, we also get invited to other college to attend placements. The other departments like Mechanical, civil, electrical and aeronotical, placement activity is very low.

College Events :

Every year there was 4 major events. Surabhi an interclass fest, Sumbram an inter College fest, sport's day and college day. There also was other events like holi, krishna janmastami etc. For CSE/ISE students there was a technical event called sankalp. Civil engineers had their own events where the exibited their architectural and building skills.

Campus Life :

The infrastructure of our college was pretty good. Classrooms where nice. Canteen infrastructure was the best. I was not much of a sports guy but i had a peep there it was pretty average. But the sir is pretty support. Students can easily approach the PT sir to talk about sport events or infrastructure.

Placement Experience:

Placements are around 90 percent in the Computer Science course with average package of 600000 and highest package of 5100000 till date. A great number of companies visit the college for hiring making it a great opportunity to the students to showcase their capabilities to the recruiters. My plans are to pursue civil services and serve the country as soon as I complete my degree.

Placement Experience:

From 7 semesters students are eligible to attend the placement and on our campus, we have fewer placement opportunities compared to other colleges. need to improve the placement program in our college in most of the companies coming top BPO and some of the students got selected to the good companies also but in our time replacement was not I'll expect. The highest package and average package of components and I really don't know about that and the percentage of students getting placements maybe around 10 to 15% and I didn't select in placement after the completion of my degree. I joined some courses after so many months I got the job.

Admission:

Through the common entrance test conducted after pre-University board for all students aspiring for medical and engineering students, later rankings are announced based on marks secured and applying for colleges starts from cet board and seats are confirmed and admissions are opened at that college.
