Remarks :

I didn't expect to get admission in government colleges for btech mechanical,since government colleges select mechanical students around KEAM rank 10000(my rank around 21,000). I know a respective head of my college that time who told btech mechanical is almost filled in the college through management quota and told if I reach out him the next day, he would give me admission. This is why I thought it's difficult to get admission in any good college for mechanical. But by the time the classes started, I realized that the no of students get drastically reduced and that the person who refered me had fooled me.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Btech mechanical & electrical are the best courses in my college which have good faculties, machineries, and other facilities. Other courses are just normal and electronics is the worst department with few students and less infrastructure.

Class Size : 34Course Fees : INR 334000 per year

Placement Experience :

Job opportunities are moderate. About 50% of the students who gets placed are in call centres, service centres,etc. Also good companies like infosys, bosch, etc also give placements in our college, but they select only few talented students.

College Events :

My college has almost all events like Techfest, Arts fest, Sports competitions, intercollege competitions, etc. And these events are well organised by students. But sometimes sports events were conducted for the name of sake and ends very early. In a nutshell, my campus life is good with having a moderate freedom.

Campus Life :

Infrastructure is amazing in our college for btech electrical and mechanical engineering. Computer engineering also have big computer labs with good wifi connection. And every students have access to internet in the break time in the computer center. Infrastructure is almost good.

NIT Cailcut-The Good,Bad and the Ugly

Placement Experience:

Students can apply for campus placements by the beginning of the 4th year.High paying companies are attracted by the placement cell which offer good packages to the students. The average packages for the circuital branch are pretty high. Each year about 200 companies are invited. The highest package for Electrical and Electronics has gone upto 38LPA with average package of about 14LPA in the graduation year 2024.About 128 students had registered out of which 120 students were placed.The minimum salary offered was 5LPA.

Is engineering here worth it?

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA
