Remarks :
The college management is very good and friendly with the students. I had a great life experience in this college. I recommend this college to all the students opting for mechanical engineering.
Entrance Preview :
I took AIEEE and scored 38 in it which is not a very good score. I opted for a payment seat in this college because of the educational infrastructure of this college and the well equipped labs which would give very good practical knowledge.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Mechanical engineering is not an easy course. I had interest in this particular course from my school days beacuse of the designing speciality in this particular course.
Internships Opportunities :
I did my internship at sudhir gensets in jammu. Bosch had come to the campus for internship but i did not get selected. So i opted for sudhir gensets. My experience there was great. The staff there was well educated and had great knowledge about there field. I was not offered any stipend at this firm.
Placement Experience :
Not a lot of companies had come to the college for placements due the downfall in mechanical sector. Bosch and maruti came and offered good packages of 8.5 lacs and 6.5 lacs respectively.
College Events :
There were a lot of events during my time in the college. Star nights took place almost every semester punjabi singers were invited to these star nights. Various cultural events took place in the fests in the college. Inter-university fests were also held in my college which used to be celebrated at a large scale.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Fee structure is expensive. I used to pay 35000 per semester. Some students were offered scholarships on various bases. But i didnt have any scholarship so had to pay in full.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Scholarships were offered by the college on different bases. Economical and educational bases were the main bases of scholarships.
Campus Life :
I just have one word for campus life GREAT. The sports activites and extracurricular activites provided us with great mental relief from the day-to-day activites.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel and mess facilities were really great. Seniors became friendly with us when i was new to college in the hostel itself. The mess offered good quality of food with a variety of options.
Alumni/Alumna :
I havent met with any alumni of the college because of the weak network but the students of my batch along with our juniors have setup a website along with the help from administration for contacting alumni of the college.
Exam Structure :
Exams were held every month along with the practicals. This made us study very hard as the marks in the monthly exams reflected on our internal assessment marks.
Faculty :
Faculty was well educated and quite friendly. Friendly behaveiour made it easy to adapt to the atmosphere of the campus. They carved me into the person i am today.
