Remarks :

The college provides students with numerous opportunities including seminars, webinars, internships etc. The reason for joining this college is mostly because it has a good placement record. The college has uniform which is something most do not like, but it gives a corporate feel. The faculty is average. I’ve chosen my course( ie ECE) Because the faculty is really good and the placement records are top notch. The college faculty is really strict.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Our college became autonomous from my year, even though 2nd to 4th year is under MAKAUT. The first year syllabus was changed, we didn’t follow the exact makaut syllabus. Along with that, our college teaches other subjects and labs along with the basic subjects, such as finance And Chinese, which do not really help us being future engineers. Secondly, our college is way too strict about mere matters, which becomes unbearable at times. The one time when people enjoy really much,i.e the college fest, not much effort goes into it. The faculty is good barring some. No industry visit happened till now. During quarantine, even though the AICTE asked not to charge fees, our college charged fees. There’s Many cons of this institution.

Class Size : 48Course Fees : INR 520000 per year

College Events :

The college is extremely unbothered in this aspect. The college fest is extremely small. The college doesn’t allow good bands or performers to come. Co-curriculum is mostly non existent in IEM. The participation in the fest is really less.

Campus Life :

Sport faculty is non existent Mostly other than the PT classes we first year had which mostly included work outs and yoga and karate, no games, labs are average. There are three basketball courts in three buildings. There’s no such thing as “ campus”. It’s mostly three independent buildings scattered in salt lake sector 5. Library is good, it has got good content of books.

The placement of this college is quite good. 89% of students got placed in good companies like TCS, Accenture, Amazon, etc. in 2023. Moreover, this college also conducts special classes for placements where you will learn how to prepare for interviews and crack the interviews.

Final-year students can opt for the placement drive. The highest package was 3 LPA. The average package was 1.2-1.5 LPA. (5-10)% Students got placement. I planned for preparation various govt jobs.

Hardship ends someday after Placements.

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for placement after the 6th semester onwards.A total of 98 companies visited our college out of which they offered 120 offers and 86 students applied for placements out of which 78 are selected in the CSE branch. The selection was 90 percent. Average pay was 4-5LPA and the highest was 25LPA CTC in India. After getting my degree i planned for higher studies and placement in a MNC.

Remarks:

Nothing is perfect in the whole universe. There were loopholes in the college administration and there were a few, not-so-good guys, who did mistreat with students but thanks to the higher authorities, those were never a permanent issue.
