Remarks :

The Cochin College is an aided college that offers regular degree programmes at a very reasonable fee structure. The College is affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam. Good education with a regular degree is the major plus point because of which i opted for this college.

Course Curriculum Overview :

B.com Course Curriculum is pitty much good. There are practical sessions in the lab and lab exams to orient the students in industry based education. We don't have any interships and industrial visits included in the course curriculum. A project is there in the final year. Faculty of the college is good, but they are more into completing their portions rather than checking on the students.

Course Fees : INR 8400 per year

Placement Experience :

Actually when i was studying there were no such placement opportunities availed by the college. Instead we have job fairs conducted by certain private companies in the college. And now college offers some placement drives by 2 or 3 companies but only few students are getting placed.

College Events :

Campus life and events are worth it. We have Arts week, Union day, Intercollegiate fests, College Magazine release and much more held during the academic year conducted by the College student union. Almost all festivals are celebrated in the college like onam, Kerala Piravi, and Christmas.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because, commerce was my passion.. I can get many knowledge abou the real world bussiness and how to became a good employee.. It will be more effective if we get class test in every weak. There is a 3hr exam and its a bit difficult to attend it.

Remarks:

Good teaching, college timing is the main element attracted me it was from morning 8 to afternoon 1. College has got a friendly environment which helps to adopt in to the learning aspect fast, teachers are really friendly, I got good review from the ex students studied in the college.As the college is a private institution they give utmost importance to studies. Teachers provided all the necessary notes and Chinmaya mission as it is more of disciplined and had a systematic practice of moral values that is nurtured to the students.
