Course Curriculum Overview :
Our course curriculum is based on the treatment of different kinds of domestic and wild animals and their welfare, along with their management. The exam structure is such that three internals are conducted by the college and an external examination by the university. Our curriculum consists of both theory and practical sessions which includes various kinds of animal farms. Animal farm visits occur regularly. The curriculum is indeed apt for grooming a professional as we are able to get a first hand experience with the animals.
Placement Experience :
As far as placements are concerned, there will be no companies recruiting us as this is not an engineering course. But we have many placements in the Public sector as well as in the Indian army. Also, the internship is provided by the college for a period of one year after the completion of the course.
College Events :
Days commemorating animal welfare and veterinary science milestones are conducted. A national veterinary congress was held this year in the college. Also cultural programmes are held frequently. Christmas, onam, holi, deepavali etc are celebrated ocassionally.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The admission is primarily entrance merit based. The course fee is around 30, 000 to 40, 000 per year. The college summarises the fee structure before the class starts and there are no additional fees to be paid inorder to get an admission as the marks scored in the entrance examination is the only criteria to gain admission to the course.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Scholarships availed by the government are utilised by the students primarily. Other than that, the university provides scolarship based on the marks the students recieve in the previous year.
Campus Life :
The campus life is very enjoyable as it remains close to the nature. The gender ratio is such that the number of girls is slightly higher than that of boys. Several labs are there for each subject. Sports facilities are also present. Also there is gym facility.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel fees is free as it is run by the government. All the students are entitled to the college hostel. Separate hostels are provided for men and women. Each hostel consist of a warden and mess facilitues are also available.
Alumni/Alumna :
The alumini network is present. They are helpful in various ways and takes initiative in student palliative works.
Admission :
First of of I cleared NEETentrance examination and got admission through VCI allotment process. The institution is very famous for its academics and training facilitues which includes various laboratories and scientific farms which enable the students to excel in their academics.
Faculty :
There are a minimum of 4 professors per subject and all of them having their masters degree and most of them with PhD. Every one of them are aptly groomed to teach students and are well versed in their topics, some even having patents on various machinery and technical advancements.
