Remarks :

This college is the best in town and one should not think of any college other than D. A. V. college Jalandhar.

Course Curriculum Overview :

As the faculty of our college is well experienced, they taught us various thing not only bookish knowledge but also real life experiences which helped a lot not only in my professional life but also in my day today life. Yeah the college takes us to industrial visits to have insights of how a business operates.

Class Size : 1000Course Fees : INR 35000 per year

Placement Experience :

May companies visits our college every year for placement of students. Company like Dell, Hp, Colgate, Cipla etc. (I cant mention every company) Out of all the students 60% gets placed every year and some of them gets a very good package. Yeah college takes some efoort to prepare the student's for the placement.

College Events :

Events like Commerce fare, Science fare, college fest, drawing competition, dance competition, sports day, annual day, cricket tournaments, badminton tournaments, chess competition etc. Took place every year. Some of the competitions are on huge scale with many colleges collaborates in that tournament.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fees is moderate I can say. All modes of payment like online-offline is accepted. No additional fee is charged in order to secure admission in the course i. e. admission is on the basis of first come first serve basis Yes college provides complete transparency in the fee-breakdown.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Our college provides different kinds of scholarship schemes. Like there is a scholarship scheme for those students who excels at studying. Some of tgose who apllied for scholarship got 20000rs scholarship from the college For those who are needy can also apply for scholarship.

Campus Life :

Gender ratio is almost equal like 52:48 I could say. There is no particular religion that is followed in the college people from all the religions are accepted and there is mo discrimination or racism that has ever happened in the college. Student parties like freshers parties and college fest are organized every year and one enjoys a lot in those parties.

Alumni/Alumna :

Sometimes college held alumni meet like this year college held meet for all those people who had studied from this college.

Admission :

Dav college jalandhar is the best college on town and also the oldest. It is the most reputed college in our town and also the faculty is well experienced and well educated. Even my parents and their parents too had studied from this college. So you can have insight that how old and reputed this college.

Faculty :

As I mentioned earlier, faculty is well educated and well experienced. There may be around 500 to 600 lecturers. Average age may be 40 years. And some of them have experience of like 30 years. Each department havs many experienced lecturers and they provide us unimaginable knowledge.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Firstly every course have different fee structure. As my course is BCOM so i think if you need to make some higher knowledge of commerce you should go for it because it can help you to make your overall basic knowledge good even if you don't related to commerce stream in 11th or 12th. the way of teaching in the collage is good but still some of the teachers don't have interest to teach their student in the better way. exam system in the collage is good and its difficuly level is moderate also its depend on the subject and point of view of the students

My best College

Course Curriculum Overview:

In this clg, there is outstanding course curriculum in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness. In clg I choose this course because of quality faculty members available for providing high effort for students. The frequency of exams are 3 hrs per exam and timing is based on two shifts: morning or evening. The timing of morning shift were from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and evening shift timings were from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm.

After 4th sem we got placement opportunities. Course Curriculum Overview:

My course curriculum was good. The faculty members were good, they were teaching well, and they were helpful. I like this course that is why I opt this course. There are mostly 10 faculty members in the commerce department. And students around 580. It takes exams frequently and exams are easy. Yeah, their teaching methods are good.

Collegelife

Course Curriculum Overview:

I selected B.com (Bachelor of Commerce) course as it's my dream to work in a public bank sector. The faculty is so nice but the disadvantage is that the teachers are so rapidly changed. In two years, my two fav teachers are changed. So this is the main disadvantage. Student strength is 70 in first year and 65 in second year. Qualifications of the teachers are MBA, Doctorate and other professional degrees. There is no special teaching method. All teachers are forced to complete syllabus before time and approach for the MSTs for the student's revision. Yeah, it's right that there is no stress in college about studies. But yes it's a bitter truth that we have to do study ourselves as no one keep focus in our performance like teachers in schools till 10th. Yes who are belongs to the middle class family can approach to GNGC college. Term exams of odd semesters are held in December /January and the even semester exams in May/June. It's quite easy to clear if you study smartly .

A Descent college for graduation

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because I had an interest in commerce and wanted to prepare for some govt exams simultaneously. The faculty to student ratio is approx. 1:25. Most of the faculties are average but few are descent. too. Most of them hold a Ph.D. degree from any descent local college and some of them have just done a master's. The exams are held twice a semester Mid semesters and end-semester examinations. They're generally easy to moderate in difficulty level but the checking at GNDU university is a bit on the tougher side still its very easy to pass exams even after studying just a few days before exams
