PGDM in Pune

Remarks :

Good remarks- Excellent faculty and course structure Excellent weather at the campus. No restrictions in campus. College management is easily accessible. Bad remarks- Far from city, no good shops nearby. Politics in attendance. Hefty fine for clearing backs.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Course Structure- Course is divided into 6 trimester each having 6 to 8 subjects. Dual specialization course. Course is updated on regular basis as per industry standards. Exam pattern- 70% weightage to internal exams, assignment, project, presentation. 30% weightage to term end exam. Course curriculum is very good and helpful in real life applications and for getting placement. Regular guest talks with industry people. No industrial visit as such.

Placement Experience :

College provides compulsory summer internship for every student after 1st year. Many big companies as well as startups come for internship process. Placement are overall average to good. Companies like Asian Paints, Bajaj Finserv, Deloitte, IDFC bank comes regularly. Almost 100 companies come for placements. Placement process mainly comprises of Group discussion and interview. Almost 75 percent students get placed. Most of the placement is done in the field of Sales and marketing. Special classes for aptitude tests.

College Events :

There are many events. They happen almost every month. Main cultural events are Forza and Cresendo. These include dancing, singing, poetry, standup comedy, fashion show competitions. There are 2 annual sports events in which colleges from all over Pune participates.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Program fee is around 9 lacs. I found the course fee on higher side as compared to colleges of this category. Payment options are Cash, DD, online payment. 5k extra for registration when you join and 5k extra for B suit and uniforms. Hostel and mess fee is extra which is around 8k per month.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I have not opted for loan. There is no such scholarship known to me. While many students opted for loan, they got it through any bank.

Campus Life :

Gender ratio is good, almost fifty fifty. There are many student councils like placement cell, alumni cell, cultural cell, sports cell etc and everything is managed by students only. Many parties are organised by the college and also by students. College culture is very open, there are no restrictions. Parking facility to keep your vehicle.

Alumni/Alumna :

Alumni cell of the college which is managed by students is very active and keeps updated on the network of Alumns. Alumni keep coming to college for guest talks and placement purposes.

Admission :

Admission is through CAT/MAT etc score, GD and interview. Admission process is conducted in many cities, I gave my interview in Patna. Interview process happens in the month of February and March. Why I chose this college- Good academics and placement record. Approved by AICTE. Demand for PGDM graduate in market. Pune as a city is one of the best to live.

Faculty :

Each subject would be of 30 to 40 hours. Everyday there would be 4 to 6 lecture of 75 minutes. Most of the faculty comes from outside and there are not many inhouse faculty. Qualification and experience wise most of them were very good. They had done PhD and some were in the process of completing their PhD. Their experience helps me a lot during my professional career.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course Because of the name "finance" so I decided why not "fintech" It's a combination of both Finance as well as Technology. For every 10 students, there is 1 faculty. Faculties are highly qualified as well as experienced in their respective field Every 3-6 months semester exams are scheduled

Remarks:

Knowing the placement record, the alumni record, package offered, facilities provided in our college is enough to decide whether to take admission in a particular college or not. So, for me these are the reason for taking admission into this college as I doubt everything as per my choice. The admission process consists of several rounds. The first step I took was to apply for the course, and then my track of success i.e. CAT score, previous academic record, work experience was considered. Also, I had appeared in college entrance test and had gone through GD and PI rounds. And lastly I am here.

Admission:

I only know the topic of my GD round as I was too afraid thinking if I would get selected or not. So, the topic given was 'Role of Ethics in Business'. I performed well and got shortlisted for Personal Interview round where my etiquettes, body language, presence of mind, analytical thinking abilities were checked. So, while I was preparing for CAT examination, our faculties used to prepare for the PI round as well.

Remarks:

ISBM is one of the best private B-Schools in India and also ranked 8th among the 20 West B Schools and 9th rank in Top Private Institutes. The institute is well-known and the program that I wanted to pursue was only one-year long here, all the good aspects such as impressive placements, rigorous curriculum, easily approachable and distinguished faculty members, student-driven campus, etc encouraged me to apply for this institute. For the application process, I had to pay an amount of INR 700 while submitting my application form through the official website of the college.

Admission:

I did had to go through a personal interview process during which I was asked various questions related to General Awareness, Current Affairs, Work Experience, Personal interests, academic records, etc.

Remarks:

College management is highly supportive of student needs. The management listens to student issues and tries to solve it with proper thinking and strategy. The college and the composition, though is extremely dynamic and diverse, students live together peacefully in harmony, supporting and helping each other whenever needed. Though being it's initial stages of setup, the college faces certain issues with placements and internships, but slowly with every batchs learnings, these are also being cured. This ensures that students are always on their toes and ready to take on challenges.
