Course Curriculum Overview :
Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences - [ILBS] offers a variety of courses. There are nearly 26 courses available in this college. DM Hepatology is a course that is offered as a 3 years course, DM Organ Transplant Anaesthesia and Critical Care, M. Ch Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Surgery, and DNB (Nephrology) are also 3 years courses. There are also one-year courses available such as PDCC in Nephrology, Hepato-Virology, HPB / GI Oncology and many more 5 years and 6 months courses available.
Placement Experience :
Monthly stipend as per the rules of the Institute will be paid to the candidates admitted to the DM/M. Ch course for 36 months, PDCC/PGCC for 12 months after taking their monthly attendance into consideration. Students enrolled for the certificate course courses will receive the stipend as applicable for the Junior Residents as per policy of ILBS. The students who obtain the degree in the college also gain experience and job opportunity in the college premises itself.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The college maintains a very feasible fee structure which helps all the students in the university economically. The fee structure has been divided for each year. It varies between different courses. The fee structure itself is been divided into tuition fee, library fee, exit examination fee and caution deposit. This caution deposit is also refundable to the students when they leave the college.
Campus Life :
At ILBS they nurture the talent of our students and provide them opportunities to showcase their skill. There is a "Movie club" which screens movies of choice on every Saturday. The Sports Club conducts regular sports events. There is a badminton court within campus. During the annual sports meet our students and faculty participate in plethora of games, badminton, carom, cricket, marathon etc.
Hostel Facilities :
The Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences, New Delhi is a fully residential Institute. All residents have to reside in the Hostel compulsorily available within the campus. There are two hostel buildings, Adhyayan and the new building to accommodate our students. The rooms are spacious, with ample light and fresh air. The rooms are well furnished and assistance for all other necessary things is provided.
Alumni/Alumna :
Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences organised its first ever ‘Alumni Meet’ on 9th of February, 2018, on the occasion of the 5th Convocation Day. Inspite the first such gathering of the ILBS Alumni, it was attended by more than 100 odd alumnae people. The Alumni Meet was inaugurated by Prof S.K Sarin (Director, ILBS) who interacted with alumni members and reinforced the necessity of such meetings. Admission :
Candidates willing to join this college may download the application forms and prospectus from ILBS website www.ilbs.in. They must also ensure their eligibility from the prospectus before applying. Candidates should submit their application online at the ILBS website (http://www.ilbs.in). The applications for in-service candidates for sponsored seat must be routed through proper channel. The application fee once paid will not be refunded even in case of his/her application is rejected.
Faculty :
The faculty of the college is one which is maintained in a well ordered manner. It has been classified respective of each department. There are several experienced faculty members in the college. There are staff members who are called as visiting faculty for many specialisation. Most of the faculty members have obtained their doctorate degree in their particular field.
