Master of Science (Zoology)

Course Curriculum Overview :

There were several options for the Master of science course but I opt for M.Sc in Zoology as it was my dream to know about the bio-diversity and the cell biology of various species on the planet. The M.Sc is a two-year post-graduation certification there were two main exams per year and the results published on the college website.

Placement Experience :

At Hemchand Yadav students are motivated to go under a six months field job internship to gain maximum experience. Several companies do campus placements and there are chances they hire you based on your profile and wide knowledge of content delivery at the time of interview.

College Events :

At the University, both technical and non-technical events are celebrated. Events like Chhattisgarh young scientist congress, 150th birthday date on 2nd October was celebrated as Mahatma Gandhi's birthday with honor and pride.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

According to me, the fee structure at Hemchand Yadav University was average as the fees were taken for a 2-year graduate degree was 60,900. The fees were paid according to the year wise round before the date of the final examination.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee structure was feasible so I didn't opt for a loan and as per my knowledge there are no scholarships offered by the university but you can always get information on the official website. Moreover, there are several options for a student loan by the government.

Campus Life :

There are several extracurricular activities fro the relaxation of students for routine study. A sports complex is built on campus so that every student can access it and play several sports. Laboratories were well built and there was all the necessary equipment that students required for experimental purposes.

Hostel Facilities :

In Hemchand Yadav University, the hostel facilities can be considered on average as there were several problems faced by students. Also, I had my relative living in Durg city so I didn't have much experience with the same.

Alumni/Alumna :

The environment at the Hemchand Yadav University was good for a studious student but there were limited books in the library due to some point students faced some issues. However, that issue of students was solved after some time by the university.

Admission :

I got admission by visiting the university premises and submitting the required documents and by filling the application form. My form was shortlisted and that information I got by text and mail. As I was sure, I provided my details like phone number, address, and email id, I got my admission letter.

Faculty :

The faculty of my course was appropriate for the curriculum and taught us the detailed structure of the species and their bio-diversity at several places. As there was not much technology we were studying from books and there was an issue in content delivery by the faculty in some detailed topic.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Syllabus is well divided in all the semester giving the students proper time to focus on each subject. We had 7 theory and 3 practical in 3 semester and the last semester has dissertation work which is a very good decision as it allows the students to learn on how to design a research and work on it. The constant support of mentor makes things easy to learn. But the semester is of short duration and that's why we were always in rush and couldn't give our best as we had expected before. We have 2 internal exams and a final exam each semester. But there's no fixed time for the internal exam which makes it difficult for the student.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course setup for M.Sc Botany is very good according to me. The course is 100% focus on CSIR NET to get a good opportunity in the research field. At the last semester, the Dissertation course is very helpfull for future researchers. A course called "Research methodology" is very essential for a knowledge of research ethics and post research publication process.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have a keen interest in exploring various fields of maths this is the reason for me to choose the MSc maths course. We have 17 teachers in our department and 60 students per batch from BSc and MSc. Limited seats are there for PhD students. The faculty members are highly qualified to have PhD in the subject they teach, They have many national as well as international publications. Term exams are according to the academic calendar released at the start of the session, the exams are not that tough to get through, you just need to be regular in class.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I have done bachelor's degree in Science. And I like chemistry very much so I decided to do a master's of Science in Chemistry as a Subject. There is about a 12:60 student: faculty ratio. All of the faculty are very experienced and also have done a lot of research work. Most of the faculty have done their PhD. There are 2 internal examinations CT-1 and CT-2 in between one semester. There is a total of 4 semesters for my M.Sc. Course.
