Course Curriculum Overview :

The course setup for M.Sc Botany is very good according to me. The course is 100% focus on CSIR NET to get a good opportunity in the research field. At the last semester, the Dissertation course is very helpfull for future researchers. A course called "Research methodology" is very essential for a knowledge of research ethics and post research publication process.

Internships Opportunities :

This university offers numerous internship opportunities. Our department offers an internship on "Mushroom cultivation and marketing". Professors of this department are working on some projects such as environmental condition of NTPC Sipat etc.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Course fees is little higher than other Central Universities. But is not very high. Total course fees for my M.Sc degree (2021-2023) is more or less 16-17k. All the state and central scholarships are available in this university. There are not any university scholarship for B.Sc and M.Sc students. University fellowship for Ph.D scholars are available.

Campus Life :

My campus Life with GGV is very good and memorable. We enjoyed very much in our department as well as in the campus. I was an active participant of GGV NSS team. The NSS of the GGV is very advanced. NCC is also very much active in our campus. This university organize food fest of every school of studies separately. We faced NAAC team and Indian President in our convocation. Overall my experience is very good.

Admission :

Admission process is neat and clean. The university accepting students from the centralized entrance exam "CUET-PG" for M.Sc admission and "CUET-UG" for B.Sc admission. The cutoff percentile for PG admission is in between 70-73 percentile.

Faculty :

Faculty members are so much helpful and very familiar. Teacher student ratio is good. There are 10 permanent teachers and the seat for M.Sc Botany is 50. So the ratio is good enough. All the professors are very much educated from India and out of India also. All teachers have a good post doctoral research experience and teaching experience also.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Syllabus is well divided in all the semester giving the students proper time to focus on each subject. We had 7 theory and 3 practical in 3 semester and the last semester has dissertation work which is a very good decision as it allows the students to learn on how to design a research and work on it. The constant support of mentor makes things easy to learn. But the semester is of short duration and that's why we were always in rush and couldn't give our best as we had expected before. We have 2 internal exams and a final exam each semester. But there's no fixed time for the internal exam which makes it difficult for the student.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum decided for the course is a kind informative it covers a larger percentage of the NET syllabus which is beneficial. I suggest that the practical-based thing, they should improve, because practical makes the concept clear.

Research and analysis aspect. It prepares for Research programs or educational fields. Text books must have more practical concepts than the textual theories. Each year four semesters with medial difficulty level exams.
