a short review on my college

VP

Course Curriculum Overview :

The syllabus is a standard syllabus which has been there for a long time yet it is still applicable to the modern era. We learn a lot of subjects relating to agriculture like plant breeding, horticulture, soil nature, etc. In practical sessions, we learn a lot of interesting things which is useful for our project works in the future.

Placement Experience :

There are a lot of job opportunities in each phase of our education, for instance in our UG many Agri based companies come for recruitment, if not while doing our masters we can apply as JRF in research institutes, by doing so, we can earn a decent income while we are still in a learning phase.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The whole course fee (2 years) is Rs. 88,600. For the first year, it is Rs. 45,100 and for the second year, it is Rs. 43,600. This fee is feasible when compared with other colleges, as far as I know. For PG students there is a fellowship program that offers you a sum of Rs. 12,000 to 16,000 which is very useful.

Campus Life :

The ratio of men in this college is a bit higher than that of women, yet it is not a problem as everybody is friendly to one another and there is no discrimination. The college organizes cultural and sports events for the students every year, we have great fun during that time. There is a huge cricket ground in the college used for playing cricket and other games as well.

Hostel Facilities :

This being a residential college needs all the students to stay in the hostel during the whole course, the hostel provides all necessary facilities like electricity, water for 24/7. We have three in one room and then single rooms which are mostly for the students doing their post-graduation. The food provided is also great.

Alumni/Alumna :

Our college has a well-connected alumni circle, they often visit the college. We get many benefits from them like career opportunities, as some of them are hiring authorities in the place they work. We learn a lot from them in academics as well.

Admission :

For getting admission into this college the candidate, along with the UG marks, need to score in a common entrance exam as well. The counselling for campus selection and department selection happens in the college itself, you will be called based on your marks scored in the exams. If the candidate needs hostel recommendation they can apply for one during the admission process itself.

Faculty :

I feel very privileged to be learning from such faculties in my college, everyone is an inspiration, they are very interactive and keep the classes lively and informative. They inspire and encourage us to learn well and reach great heights in our career, these staffs are my first role models.
