Remarks :
Really bad and sexist college management. Never pay heed to any complaints or problems faced.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Curriculum is based on the Uttarakhand technical university syllabus, teaching is just fair. Mostly you have to study on your own to get good grades, classes and teaching is below average. No industrial visits, no campus placement, no proper path provided for a better job after the course completion.
Placement Experience :
No internship or placement provided, you are on your own for even the compulsory industrial training that is to be done. Nothing is arranged or any assistance provided by the college.
College Events :
Cultural fest is organized once a year, no technical or management festivals held. Cultural fest is not on a very large scale as of other colleges, no other colleges come in to participate. Cultural fest is all dependant on the students, the college management just needs the money.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
It's expensive not at all feasible. Tuition fees are high which contributes to more than 60% of the total fees, examinations fees is charged twice a year but by provision of the university it should be only once every year. Miscellaneous changes adds up to almost 40% of the total fees charged per semester.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
No, didn't go for a scholarship or a loan. College didn't offer any scholarship either let alone availing it.
Campus Life :
Gender ratio is almost 1:2, girls are lesser in number than boys. Not a very diverse culture. Extra curricular activities depends on the student. No debates or anything arranged. Never arranged any competitions or sports meet. The only activity available was the college fest.
Alumni/Alumna :
My batch was the first batch so we had no seniors. College never arranged for an alumni meet and honestly not interested in going back even as an alumnus there.
Admission :
Got in through AIEEE's rank and opted for the college during counselling. College was not too far from my residence in Dehradun so I opted for this particular college and Bachelor of Technology or engineering was a hotshot career. The counselling is generally held in May or June which is published in newspapers.
Faculty :
Average faculty, most of the faculty members are just out of college. Only a few have relevant experience in teaching and engineering. You don't learn much from the faculty per se. No help in classes or during the final year project. Lectures are held throughout the semester but mostly are of no use.
