Remarks :

College is very nice. Infrastructure is adorable. college also provide online lectures for some subjects. Teachers are supportive. College has a good technical atmosphere. You surely will enjoy you college and hostel life.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Course curriculum is good it will start focusing on our main subjects after 2nd semester. There are two main exams i. e. mid semester exam and end semester exam and some quizes/lab evaluation. It was very hectic for us as the classes begins from 8 am and ends at 5 pm and sometimes till 7 pm because of extraclasses.

Placement Experience :

There are good placements opportunities as they invite many multinational companies to their campus and all these companies are happy to take students from this university as they not 9nly have good employment skills but also are good to other prospects as in this University we have a great diversity which help us keep connected threw out the world

College Events :

Saturnalia, urja and many more events are organized in our college. Our society like ccs i. e. Creative computing society organize major technical events in which students of the major colleges like iits and nits take part.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fee structure of thapar is quite expensive. It is not feasible for everyone. It is approximatoly double from iits and nits. Our fees for current semester is approximately 2 lacs and it grows big if we add hostel and mess fees. Also I don't know what is development fees but they are charging 50000 from us for it.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Ofcourse college provide scholerships to some students who scored good marks in jee main and boards as well. Students are selected on the merit basis. Also loan facility also available as ther are 2 banks in our college.

Campus Life :

Sports and extracurricular activities are there but you have to give your time in it as we hardly get any time after college. Facilities are good the only enemy is time. Boys and girls can equally participate in any of the activities. The gender ratio you can say that there are 1 girl every 5 boys.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel rooms are neither good nor bad. Once you start living you startyou feel good. But there are 4 students in some rooms which are already expensive and you have to pay more to live in a 2 seater or 3 seater rooma. I opted for a non ac room but still you can't say it is cheap.

External Expense : Rs. 2000 - Rs. 4000

Alumni/Alumna :

I am still not experienced anything like this. But still there are mant notable alumni from thapar. We can interact with seniors by joining any socities but as strength of students is very large very students left behind and cannot join any society, like me.

Admission :

I wanted to study computer engineering and this college gave me admission on the basis of my cbse boards result and I got computer engineering course. At first I filled its admission form giving all the details and choosing my preference order for the branches. Afterwards its online and offline counseling happened and I appeared in the offline counseling and got selected in reserved catagory.

Faculty :

99% of the faculties are PhD in fellows and for BCOM MBA faculties handling classes I think it's possible in SASTRA only. And they are well weresed in there respective core and most of the faculties based on hr and Finance

From 4th semester students are eligible for placements. Tcs , Wipro , Amazon come and they give 1000+ opportunities. Tcs offers average package of 8 lakhs and highest is 16 lakhs for a pg passout. 98% students get placed. A corporate job would be my honest plan
