Good College

Remarks :

Positive : scholarships available, nice infrastructure, Negatives: placements could be made better, fees could be reduced, hrs of college could be reduced, 75% attendance criteria can be overlooked at times like in last two academic years

Course Curriculum Overview :

Now it is Autonomous so course curriculum is really good, student's talent is appreciated here. But Mark matters. Study minded college with Proper lab facilities and Extra curricular Activities like Cultural events etc.

Placement Experience :

Very good placement. They will send students to various companies for internship. For example, Infoview, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, TCS, Capgemini, DXC, Accenture, CTS and BPO'S as well. More no of core companies will be visiting the campus every year.

College Events :

Amiphoria annual cultural fest generally of three days in month of February and Sangathan a sports meet held in the moth of October every year. There may be competitors in events from outside Amity but that is only a handful in number

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Usual fees should be payed here, like government fees + applicable book fees. It is usually will come like 1L/year. If you are hosteller you have to pay 50k extra. For DayScholar the bus fees will vary according to the distance.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

If you have scored more than 190 cutoff you will be awarded with 100% scholarship in both college and hostel. If you have scored 185 and above you will get 75% and 180+ will get 50% and 175+ will get 25%.

Campus Life :

Good lab facilities are available for Civil, mech, eee, ece and Cse students. More than 1000 computers are there with software installed. Sport facility is good. Gym, basketball court, volleyball court and cricket ground is there inside the campus.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel rooms are very good. Food wont be extraordinary but can be manageable. Management is very poor in improving or changing caterers. Can't expect proper facility in room like TV and Wifi etc, good playing facility available

Alumni/Alumna :

Very less alumni network or senior students help you will get. They will be calling you for alumni connect but won't be discussing anything related to the betterment of the current students. But if you have maintained good rapport with your seniors they will help you for sure.

Admission :

Anna University Councelling, once you have completed HSC extramination results will get declared. After declaration of results you have to enroll for common counselling window. They you have to go directly and choose the college so that you can save you first graduation amount of ?20000/year if you are really a first graduate from your family.

Faculty :

Qualified Profeesors, 2/20 profeesors are Doctorate. Courses offered are ECE, CSE, EEE, IT, Mechatronics, Agriculture etc, having proper and very good laboratory facility for all the subjects including dynamics

Placement Experience:

The campus placements start in the 7th semester. Due to the recession, there is a lot of backlash when it comes to placements. It has been quite poor for the last few years. But it depends on how the student is prepared for the competitive world.

Placement Experience:

Placement is good for the CSE and IT departments. You can't expect placement if you belong to other departments, there is a placement for the other departments but very less. Campus placement starts in 3rd year itself. They have special classes for Aptitude skills and interview preparation GD and necessary preparations for job placement opportunities. 90% of students from CSE and IT get placed. The average package is 7.5 LPA you can expect a minimum of 3.5 LPA. If you are willing to go for higher studies you can contact the international relation office they have good relations with other universities abroad, they have students exchange programs, research scholarships etc if you are not planning to seat in placement. I plan for higher studies and research after my Btech.

Placement Experience:

The placements in my college is very good and top companies hire students across every branch with a good amount of package. At the end of 3rd year every student is elegible for the placements in college. About 20 to 25 companies visited for campus hiring and approximately 700 offers were given across the college from every branch. 60 percentage of students got placed in the campus hiring program. Highest package is 24 LPA and the aveyis 5LPA. My plan is to get into a good MNC company which is related to Aerospace technology.
