Course Curriculum Overview

3

The system followed is Semester system.Practical subjects have hectic days.otherwise it is chilled. In my opinion semester system is not a good enough system as very short span of the semesters prevent the gradual and organic learning.

Placement Experience

1.5

A lot of companies and NGOs come for internship via internship cell of college. I have seen stipends up to 5000/- to 15000/-. For placements, Economics people have a good chance. However in most of the cases and departments.I don't find the environment much placement oriented. Most of the students aim for higher studies and competitive exams. I feel this is the scenario because most of the courses are humanities oriented.

College Events

5

College Fest Tempest, Founder's day, Fest of every society, Diwali mela Onella, North East mela etc. In college hostel every major festival is celebrated, we have Socials with some Boys Hostel, Guest Night, D.J. Night. Both college and hostel have freshers week( for first years ) as well as farewell party ( for third years ).

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is mostly feasible. This being a government college most of the courses have feasible fees structures. However practical courses have higher fees than theoretical subjects because in practical subjects labs have to be maintained.

Fees and Financial Aid

Financial Assistance and different cash awards on founder's day. Except this students can apply for scholarships provided by university.however I don't think that loans are provided. There is a scholarship window for information.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostels are given on merit basis. Every department has seats in hostel. Hostel seats are really really few. Rooms are given on dual sharing basis. Mess food is average.some times good sometimes pathetic. Hostel is very beautiful

Admission

Yes. It is decided by merit prepared on the basis of marks in class 12th in best four subjects. If one clears the cut off one has to go with documents for verification within 3 days of announcement of cut off and admission is done.

Faculty

2.5

Permanent Faculty is extremely qualified but the Ad hoc ones are sometimes not. Many of the teachers are very engaging but you can find a lot of disinterested ones. I think it varies department to department and person to person.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the curriculum is decided by delhi university, economics wing and is followed by all the colleges of du, although few topic are often irrevelent which teachers tend to skip. i do feel that curriculum is pretty old and they should introduce new topic which are more related to reak=l world and give us real life experience not just bookish knowledge which is irelevent. they should also ask for students input related to their curriculum, teachers sometimes tedn to just do book reading. internal exmas are taken frequently and difficulty is 3 out of 5

Course Curriculum Overview:

It is a good course. I went for it mainly because I am preparing for UPSC CSE (pretty common around here). In that context the course is helpful, and also for those aiming to enter research, academia, museology, archaeology etc. However there are not many placement opportunities and for most it would be better to pursue masters later on. Teaching methods are inclusive, both english and hindi medium students can comfortably study. However both students and faculties have some complaints regarding the curriculum changes under NEP such as the sequence of courses in each sem.

Placements is for 3rd year students. Many good companies visit our campus like bajaj capital, oberoi group. Highest package is around 22 lakhs. We have a lot of internship and placement opportunities come in for students.

There's a very active placement cell in my college. They conduct placement drives, webinars and workshops. Both the jobs and internships are offered. The best package was of 2024 offering 23 Lpa and the average is around 6 Lpa.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course is rightly designed. Plus the teachers often suggest books that can be read from library regarding course topics. The library is very nice here. I used to study in the library for long hours. The exam notes and everything is available at the photocopy shop that's inside the college. Writing this review really made me miss the college more

Placement Experience:

Placements definitely stands out as passive placement cell of the college is too good. They are quite aggressive and keep attacking us with getting ready for placements. As top corporate house like Big 4 and top Indian conglomerate also comes to our college for placements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Initially i took this course beacuse i filled it as a backup for coming into delhi university but now i can say that the course is very interesting and it is practically applicable in daily life. Tho the theory exams are quite difficult and subjects like advance mme where max students fail exist but then also it is doable and has market value

Placement Experience:

The college has a placement cell which comes up with lots and lots of internship and job offers throughout the year, you get multiple new job opportunities every week but the campus placement is not all that great, B Com courses have somewhat decent placements. the college doesn't push very much or try much to get students placed, you're on your own.

Placement Experience:

Generally, after BA no one is placed and even if we apply for a job we don't get a good package. So, students generally go for masters or some other courses through which they can get placements. Talking of college placement and internship cell we don't have very good facilities as very limited companies are there for recruiting students. Many students don't even get the internship. This is a major negative point of college.
