Course Curriculum Overview
BCA curriculum involves much more technical aspects of computer and not just the programming and software part of the subject, there are theory as well as practical sessions. We have internal assessments and the marks are taken into account for semester evaluation.
Placement Experience
Many students get placed here with high salaries. The training and placement cell of the college trains us very well in aptitude and personality development areas. some of the companies coming here for the recruitment drive are Huawei, Lowes, Vital labs, and Unisys.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee is feasible by almost everyone, comparatively the fees are less to other private colleges in Karnataka. The fee for BCA is Rs. 50,000 per year which makes a total of Rs. 1.5 Lakhs for the whole course, hostel fee is not included.
Campus Life
Sports and recreational activities are taken very seriously in this college along with the academics. They organize an inter-college sports fest in May. The college also organizes a sports camp for football, Chess, Hockey and Volleyball.
Hostel Facilities
Yes, I stay in the hostel inside the campus. The rooms are well-ventilated and spacious, these hostels could accommodate about 2000 students, the rooms as well the dining hall is very hygienic. They provide tasty and nutritious food.
Alumni/Alumna
All the alumni no matter what department they belonged to come under on identity known as Oxford's alumni. They all share a common blog forum, they help us in job search and academics too, the college keeps track of its alumni too.
Admission
The minimum requirement of marks to get into Oxford college is 35%. I downloaded the application form from the college website, filled it and submitted it along with the fee. After a week or two I was shortlisted and was called for an interview.
Faculty
Our faculties are well-qualified, experienced professionals, they explain each and every concept clearly without hesitation to teach once again if asked for. They complete the syllabus within the given time and allow time for revision.
