Remarks :
I completed my M.Sc in Computer Science from R.B Gothi Jain College for Women. The college was particularly quite a strict diet to being a women's college. Though, I kinda enjoyed my course duration pretty much. My overall experience was quite good here.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The college is affiliated to the University of Madras. The University of Madras is quite renowned in whole Tamil Nadu. The course was semester based and there were a total of 4 semesters. All important subjects like computer design, mathematics, distributed systems, database, computer networks were covered in the course. The course curriculum was quite good.
Placement Experience :
There are various job opportunities after the course. After this course, a student is treated like a little superior to B.tech graduates are it is a post-graduation course. There were numerous online, of campus and on-campus opportunities for getting placed. Some students also got inspired to become entrepreneurs.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The fee charged per semester for the course was around Rs.19,000. The total fee for the whole course duration of 2 years was around Rs.76,000. The fee was very much feasible for a post-graduation course and I found it to be quite affordable.
Campus Life :
The college hosted alot of seminars, training and guest lectures apart academics to boost the skills and mindsets of students who would approach to become future CS developers and could gain an insight on how things work in big corporations. The computer labs were especially good at college
Admission :
The admission to the college was based on merit and via direct mode also. The direct mode is only available to students with good aggregate in their graduation. Only BCA and B.Sc CS students can enrol for M.Sc CS to pursue it as their post-graduation.
Faculty :
The faculty of the college was very skilled and taught us alot related computer science, programming and how to proceed in our career in the corporate world as a developer, databases administrators, testers and so on. They had cast knowledge in the field and always tried to share it with us to give a better view of things.
