Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum and syllabus of the Civil Engineering program that is followed by the scheduled is in line with the AICTE laid parameters and the UGC defined guidelines. The institute has adopted a semester wise system of examination. Semester examination are spaced with a six month gaps in between. That is 2 semester exams are held in a single year of study.
Placement Experience
Placement wise the college is decent. Each year good number of companies come for the annual campus placemen. The average package offered last year was around 3.8 LPA. With one's own effort one can get a good package in the campus placement as well as can explore the opportunities outside the campus placement. Internship are mostly managed by students on their own however the institute provide certain arrangements for the students.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees of our Institute is less as compared to other private colleges that offer the Engineering program. The fee for the entire duration of the course that is 4 years is around Rs. 2.6 lakh. The fee has to be submitted in a year wise manner that is at the start of each academic year. The annual fee stands at around Rs 65,000.
Fees and Financial Aid
As per my knowledge Karnataka state government runs a scholarship program for students who are domicile of the state. Apart from the state offered scholarships there are scholarship programs that are run by the central government where by no domicile criteria is there and anyone can apply for it. If one doesn't get scholarship then educational loan can be availed from bank.
Campus Life
Our institute has various clubs like the Tech club, sports club, hobby club etc that help us to engage in various extra curricular activities. Events like the music fest, freshers party, annual sports athletics meet, inter University competitions are normally organised. Talking about the infrastructure the college has all the necessary elements that should be there in a civil engineering college.
Admission
I applied to the college based on my score in the COMEDK examination. COMEDK is a state level undergraduate Engineering entrance examination. Admissions are also taken through Karnataka examination authority (KEA) conducted entrance exam. However the KEA exam is only for the students who are domicile of the state of Karnataka. In case of JEE Main examination if someone has given the examination then there is no need to give these state entrance examination. After qualifying the state entrance examination I got this college through counselling round. I opted for this Institute because it is one of the top institute in Gulbarga for Engineering.
Faculty
Based on the teaching methodology and doubt clearing abilities I can say that the teachers in our Institute are nice. Their approach is quite practical and the lay focus on making the student understand core concepts of Engineering rather than making it just another rote learning session.
