Remarks :

There are always pros and cons to each and every college. But it is the duty of the students to adjust to it. The excellent education and learning processes that the college provides, makes it ignore the negative side of the college. Also, the atmosphere and faculty members are great.

Course Curriculum Overview :

This course is for four years and it is a very interesting course. It aims to change agriculture and allied vocations into commercial initiatives and provides food and nutrition to the people of the NE region and the world. The course isn't hectic at all. New things are taught every day.

Placement Experience :

Agriculture has a vast scope of job opportunities. Coming to placements, a job placements or opportunities isn't there in this college. A mandatory exam conducted by the state/central government which needs to be written for the government jobs. For the private jobs, the students are interviewed with theirc percentage scored in the particular course.

College Events :

Student gatherings take place at the end of the year. Small worshops, seminars are also held to make students learn more about their particular course. Also, Fresher's day and farewell day is celebrated, along with which, small events related to dance, music, art etc take place.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fees structure for the first year is Rs.2,980/- and for the rest three years, it is Rs.2,480/-, which amounts to Rs.10,420/- at the end of four years. This fees structure isn't expensive as such for the facilities and the quality and quantity of the education that is provided in the college.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Ishan Uday is the scholarship that is provided to the students who are domiciled in the north eastern region and passed 12th examination from any of the north region government recognized board. Rs.5400/- per month is given to general degree courses and Rs.7,800/- per month for professional and technical courses. Parents' income shouldn't exceed 4.5 lakhs per annum.

Campus Life :

Sports as such isn't held though games facility is available to keep the minds of the students fresh. Laboratories are present for research purposes and a canteen is also there. Classrooms are big enough to teach a good number of students at the same time. Ragging is prohibited and everyone is treated with respect and dignity.

Hostel Facilities :

Boys' and girls' hostels are available separately so as to cater the needs of those students who stay far from the college and helps them to attend college on a regular basis. Food, electricity, water,internet facility and security is provided which makes it safe for children staying far away from their homes.

Alumni/Alumna :

Interactions are made on a daily basis with the seniors, so as to keep a track of the college events. The alumni network is maintained highly so as make the new experiences and knowledges are reached to all of the fellow students so that they progress more.

Admission :

The eligibility criteria is 10+2 with minimum 50% aggregate of PCB/PCBM/ or PCB/PCMB/ PCM /Inter-Agriculture for General and 40% marks for SC/ST and it is necessary to have English as a compulsory subject. Candidates should have attained 17 years of age 31st August of the admission year and form is available in the college's own website. And Admission is through counselling based on the merit list which is prepared considering the marks obtained in the entrance exam conducted by ICAR AIEEA/ State government.

Faculty :

Faculty members are consistently involved in research to bring about better techniques in agriculture so that it improves the condition. They help to spread the knowledge to their students through continuous involvement and dedication. They are qualified in the respective fields and shows great interest in teaching a particular course.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I am interested in agriculture and here the faculty-student ratio is quite good, faculty is good. In one sem mid-term, end-term, 2 quizzes, and practical exams are there. It is not so tough.

Placement Experience:

Students from the 6th semester onwards becomes eligible for placement jobs after the 6th semester there are some placement trips that are offered to the students like village placement trips and industrial placement trips in which they get the opportunity to get the job of around 480000 to 1200000 salary packages.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Because I like science studies MSc and Ph.D. in agriculture allied sectors. It was difficult to engage in the new course but the lectures are good so zi felt quite good and easy to understand the course and the exam pattern.

Remarks:

For me it was the fact that this college was deemed to be the best college in all of the North East and also in India. The college faculty is also good and also the benefits of staying in the hostel inside the campus. The scenic beauty in and around the campus is also one of the factors for me.
