Remarks

The college holds and excellent research facility in various fields of tropical medicine and diseases. They have completed projects on dengue, malaria and several ongoing researches that helps the students tremendously with new knowledge and its application in curing diseases.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is completed in due time and the faculty tends to cover it all without much burden. The exams are conducted in regular intervals. The labs are also pretty frequent but it does not burden us and we are left with enough time to relax and do our preparation.

Placement Experience

CSTM has great placement cell and holds placement events in college every year for final year DM and MD students. Hospitals and Research centers from all over the country visit and recruit students on good salaries. Yes, the college provides internship and its pay depends on the branch of study.

Fee Structure And Facilities

For any medical college the fee amount is expensive but as long as you procure a free seat then on academic basis you get all paid free seat. Otherwise the fee structure starts from 3 lacs and can go higher depending upon the demand of each branch and seats available.

Campus Life

The college has an excellent research department with labs fully equipped and instruments in great condition. It also has sports and playgrounds. CSTM has a very formal environment which focuses solely on education and development of students. There is no discrimination on basis of gender or sex whatsoever.

Admission

After getting my rank in PG NEET, during counselling I got into CSTM. I had submitted my certificates and paid the due fees at the counselling itself. I was granted an allotment order with which I reported to the college.

Faculty

The faculty of CSTM is dedicated and work tremendously towards teaching their course and try to focus on all students alike. All the faculty members are established doctors with deep knowledge of their courses.

Admission:

The admission process was quite simple. After completing my MBBS from GMCH Chandigarh, I applied for the MD in this college. They check all the qualifications and documents they I got a call for the interview round. It went for about 1 hour and many questions were being asked especially from the specific field which I want to pursue.

Admission:

I had written NEET exam which is the general entrance exams, after the results were declared and ranks allotted, I had checked the cutoff marks for various colleges. My rank was below 20,000 so during counselling I was asked for my preferred colleges and I had named a couple. Out of them I got into CSTM and got my allotment order. I had submitted my documents and paid the fees. After which I submitted the allotment order to the college.

In my point of view North Bengal Medical College is a average 7 out of 10 rating college. Here I like a things that the Senior and Doctor behaviour is great and very polite. And we get good quality teaching experience.

I got into this college through the JENPAS UG exam conducted by west bengal joint entrance board. This college is on the top list of all colleges where the course is offered.
