Course Curriculum Overview :

Very good. Our exam stucture is semester mood, good infrastructure everything is okk course curriculum is also good. I think it's a very good environment for students totally good and nice.

Placement Experience :

I can't say much more about it. Actually I got only svmcm scholarship. nothing else. I don't Know whether there is any other stipend facilities or not from the college authority.

College Events :

Tree plantation program Vidyasagar jayanti Ravindra jayanti Independence day Prajatantra Dibos Netaji subhas jayanti Vivekananda jayanti Recently we celebrate the 200 years of vidyasagar birth day there was a drawing competition

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Yes it is damn expensive I think. According to the fees receipt they need 500 for electric bill. I don't think it is necessary. it should be 100 they need 9000 for tutoring free. It's also very expensive.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Actually they didn't offer any loan facilities. I applied for svmcm scholarship and my college approved the same. but they didn't make any advertising about it. I didn't see. I didn't know whether they did or not

Campus Life :

Actually I have much study pressure. So I can't join in our sports program but there is a trend of annual program. they organise it very well.

Admission :

Via online mode. I applied through online. Actually it's a marks basic process One day they call me and I admitted via college official website. The selection process is totally marks basis.

Faculty :

Our faculties are very good and very helpful. I am in physics department. Our teachers are very helpful and friendly. They don't behave like a teacher, They behave like a friend. There are no distance between us. Everything is totally ok

Course Curriculum Overview:

I had chosen this course as I want to study and deeply learn all the concepts of zoology in a post-graduation level. I also aimed that after my post-graduation, my participation in undergoing various training programmes, jobs, internship opportunities, and ventures would open for me. There were six faculty members and one lab attendant in my department. Out of which, two were associate professors and four were assistant professors. The faculty:student ratio was 11:3. The qualification of the faculty members was that four of them had completed their BSc, MSc, BEd, and PhD degree in their subjects. Two of them had completed their BSc, MSc, and BEd degree. All the professors had taken revision classes after completing each chapter/module. Surprise tests were also conducted before the final semester examinations. All the odd semester exams (1st and 3rd) and even semester exams (2nd and 4th) were held timely across the year. It was difficult to pass as the syllabus was lengthy and hard.

Course Curriculum Overview:

After completing and getting good marks in graduation my next step is to pass MSc with first-class and prepare myself for the NET SET exam so that I can either do a Ph.D. or become a lecturer. We had 4 faculty and almost 42 students in our department. So the student-faculty ratio is 10 students per one professor. But our professors are very good and understanding. They are very interactive in online/offline classes. They have empathy and patience to understand our topic very deeply. They also do regular practical classes. Our professors have done Ph.D. in their field. We had 4 semesters. Every semester we had 5-6 papers and practical exams and internal assessment tests and assignments. Anyone who studies regularly can pass these exams.

Placement Experience:

They can enroll in the placement cell which helps with placements, Some departments get quite good placements from reputed companies. After getting the degree, I plan on sitting for the JAM MSc entrance exams. Also Really good for other departments like BCom and economics but you usually don't look for placement after graduation in the arts stream. You have to go for masters. So if you're a commerce or a science student and you're looking for a college with good placement after graduation, St Xavier's College is one of the best colleges in the country and in Kolkata the best.
