Course Curriculum Overview :

Curriculum is not updated for this course. Students still drawing on the paper. It should be autocad. Some labs have new apparatus but most of them are old. Each year we have two semester in december and may. Therse is two midsem in each semester. The teacher are supportive and they will help in project or research you want to do. It has great role in making better professional.

College Events :

There are in total 14 clubs existing in JU and on top of that we have our own JU Journal, a student run media body inside the campus. You will spend some quality time here. Apart from thie we have our cultural fest Sanskriti which of 7 days. TechNo, management fest SRIJAN. We have sports event ARENA.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Very low fees:- JU is the place where you almost study for a free. We pay Rs. 10, 710 in the entire four years for achieving the engineering. There is very minimal charge for exams around 100 for each semester. college is very much transparent in college breakdown.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

No, I dont get any as the college fee is very I didnt need any loans or so. There are scholarships available for poor students if their family income is less that 100000.

Campus Life :

Life is great at Jadavpur. There are in total 14 clubs existing in JU and on top of that we have our own JU Journal, a student run media body inside the campus. You will spend some quality time here. JU is one of those rare institutes where the engineering, science and arts faculty reside in he same campus separated by a dirty pond. 50% attendance is the minimum criteria required for being able to sit in the internal exams and semester exams is just on pen and paper. In reality, there’s No, such rule. However, attendance in the sessiona classes is mandatory.

Alumni/Alumna :

Alumni network is very strong in jadavpur university. Reunions takes palce every year to make the bond stronger between seNo,irs and juniors which also helps in placements.

Admission :

You have to appear for WBJEE. And you have to get a rank under 1500 to get decent branch in this college. This institution has very good ranking i. e under 10 and it is one of the best universities of india. It is an old university and situation in Jadavpur kolkata. WBJEE is held in month of january every year and notification will start in No,vember.

Faculty :

There are almost 20 lecturers in my course they are very experienced. But their teaching methodology is very old. They are not using latest technology. There is No, mikes in classes so some time it is very difficult to listen the faculty. Average age of the faculty around 50.

The most honest and unbiased review of IIEST Shibpur

Placement Experience:

Students from 7th semester onwards are elegible for campus placements. Some of the companies that visits for placements are Google, microsoft, amazon, pwc, TI, accenture, PPEL, etc. A total of 920 recruiters were there which offered 753 offers to the students and out of them around 75-78% were placed. The highest placement package was offered by microsoft for 51 lpa as PPO to 14 students and the role was IDC. The average package is around 7.5 lpa. I am planning to appear in GATE exam and go for masters in IITs after completion of my degree where i will be persuing my further studies in transportation engineering.

From seventh semester the students become eligible for campus placements. The companies visited are like TCS, Cognizant, infosys, mindtree and many others. The avg pkg is 6 lpa and highest is 12 lpa. 90 percent students gets placed.

Overall only one thing is important is about hardwork with smart work . You have to work on your skills rest college is there to help you to show the path from your college to carrier .

Placement Experience:

From seventh semester onwards companies are coming to visit in our colleges . You will give exams in four phases that are coding , technical, aptitude and after qualifying all simple interview would be taken . Just develop your skills then surely you will get job . Highest package is about 10 lakh per annum and average is about 5 to 6 lakh per annum. The percentages of getting placed are about 60 to 70 percent . Just keep in mind that choose any language like c ++ , java , python and become pro into it . You will definitely get job .

Very appropriate college for all kind of students !! I recommend it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

B.Tech in CSE is future proof and a very good course for IT sector jobs and I was always excited working in these companies, that's why I choose the course. There are 10-12 faculties present in every department. Each faculty is M.Tech qualified and Drs. Their teaching quality is very good. 4 internal theory and 2 Lab exams happen each semester. The questions are standard, regular, and sincere students can easily pass.

Remarks:

College was good in terms of studies and many more. But now it fails in giving placement. Most of the students are still unemployed. Only 30% of the students are placed from college. Others have to find there own jobs.

Remarks:

As seeing the college from outside i expected each room tobe AC but unfortunately it's not during the summer days it's pretty hot in the top floors but it's bearable canteen food items are cheap in respect to outside and wifi isn't free and I hate that.
