Fees management is worst and the restrictions criteria is bull shit.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Course is bit than you think but an exam structure may be irritate you here. Means each semester having 3 mid exams and then final exams, where best of 2 were calculated from that 3 mid exams and then added in the final result. Curriculum are also been in proper manner but nay be some rules and regulations of university can make you feel very unhappy. About late fees and fees due they can't tolerate our unnecessary reasons, even they will take a lot of late fees from us.
Placement Experience :
Initially they said placement will be 100%. But after some days will come to know nothing is like that. Yes. Companies are coming in campus. Lot of companies approaching GITAM College for Food Tech. But everyone can't make the things happened. So some students get disappointed and some gets jobs. And about internship thing this College not gonna take you anywhere or even they will not support you in that manner. So we personally have to search for internship everywhere and we have join there.
College Events :
There is lot of events carried out in campus. Means 3 times in a month is the average ratio. Some interesting events which had done in our college are, KALAKRITI, SAMYUKTA, ELEXIER, GUSAG etc. And these event organisers invite the film stars to make more starvation of an event. So this was the best part of this college.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Not too high not too low. For MSc. They've taken 80,000 per year but accommodation is totally separate. College provide their Hostels also. These college hostels having fees aroundly 7000 to 9000 per month, including food and accommodation. But in college hostel lot of restrictions are there which can make you run out of it.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
In SBI Bank I applied for the education loan but due to some document issues it won't be completed yet. But the process is in the progress and college will help with any required documents.
Campus Life :
Gender Ratio is like 50-50% and that's why the college life will be awesome. There will be the bunch of extracurricular activities. We can join everywhere and anything. In whatever things we are having interest you can see in GITAM college. Some interesting events are also done like debates and sports matches. You can enjoy the life here in the way of extracurricular activities.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel rooms are very precios and you can feel your personal space in 4 sharing room also. A/c rooms are also available and non A/c are also there. But once you joined the GITAM Hostel then you can't go outside the college campus, you have to take permission from 3 major authorities and then they will permite you and that though for 3 times in a month. On any occasions or holidays you can't go outside. In Hostel also so many rulea are there, you can't roam outside the room after 9 pm then you should come by 6 in hostel compulsory.
Alumni/Alumna :
Yes. They will help a lot. We just have to go to our senior's they will help us prominently and they will give us some important advice.
Admission :
Basically the college is having Food Technology course for MSc. and I was searching for the course specially in South India. Then I came here and took the direct admission because my degree percentage was quite enough to get direct admission. And when I entered in the campus I was wondering about the things which are here. The place is really nice and nature friendly. I loved the campus at first sight and then I decided to take admission here for our post graduation.
Faculty :
Faculty is very awesome. Every teaching staaf is having there PHD Dr. degree so everyone is having great knowledge here. Teaching is also good or we can say better. No doubt about it. But sometimes you may face some non supportive things from teachers. Then in practicals lot of trouble are there. As better as teaching in theory they will teach you in practical exactly opposite. Ao the practical knowledge may be you can't get it here better.
