Remarks :
Good with academics but not at all good with the college life. Location is a hit disappointing so as the weather. But the infrastructure is forgivable since the college is under construction. Above average faculty with a good encouragement in the research field. College sport is less and is something which should be taken care of.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Academics are good. Assistant professors and professors are both above average and the teaching is okay. Labs and exams are always hectic with a bit load of assignments but the lab assistants proved helpful.
Placement Experience :
Not so good with the placements as it is a budding college. Highest packages were around 20lacs or so. Since the college is still unknown to many people the package scenario is justified. Many startup companies showed good interest.
College Events :
Very low on college life. Events are not so encouraged but technical events are good. There college events can be way better and regular but the technical events have always been well conducted. The main college fest can be better.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Very expensive fee structure and always felt that the campus was not worth the fee as of now. But it can and will be better but I guess not much of the campus is going to be completed by the time I graduate. But yeah, the fee is expensive.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
I don’t know much about this section but I came to know there is a good scholarship for the guys who’s parent’s annual income is less than 1 lac(I’m not sure). They get their money back in no time and was helpful to many people.
Campus Life :
Not at all encouraging in the sports sector. Only a few sports are available to play. Gender ratio is very high because of few girls. No gender discrimination is found. Good workshops but very few. Ragging is not at all encouraged.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel business is cool in this college and comfortable. Hostel rooms are not plenty but are manageable. There has been no much problem with the room partner and washourooms are manageable. Cleaning process is regular.
Alumni/Alumna :
Seniors have always been helpful and they did result in a change in the juniors. Since I know some of the seniors I know have been here from the time the college started, they gave us good knowledge on how the college is still and under work and how to cope up.
Admission :
Admission process was not as hectic as assumed. Preferred CSE right from the start so chose IIIT. A government institution is always preferred over private so was keen to join IIIT. Admission process was done within an hour.
Faculty :
Faculty is qualified with good knowledge and most of the faculty is supportive. But I won’t say that the faculty at present is the best but still way better than others compared. Even the PHD students are helpful.
