Remarks :
The College is really nice, the faculty is good, the campus is one of the most beautiful I've seen.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Yes, the course curriculum is actually more exam driven than being research driven and there's certainly a scope for improvement. Most of the curriculum was outdated in our times and not upto the current prevailing market requirements. I hope the curriculum would've been updated now.
Placement Experience :
This College is known for its placements. Again, after IIT Delhi, it's the best College in terms of placements. Every year a lot of students are placed in well known indian as well as foreign companies for a hefty CTC.
College Events :
Engifest is the annual fest of the college held in and around February every year. There are a lot of cultural as well as technology oriented function and competitions. It's quite fun and whole year we used to look forward to it to chill for a while away from out routine studies.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
In our times, the course fee used to be ?40000 per year, but now as far as I know, the fee has been hiked manifolds. It's around 150000 now per semester. This can certainly be lowered a bit since it's a government funded university and many poor students also come to study here.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
No, I didn't opt for any education loan but I did recieve scholarship for thouree years which although was only meagre, but still it was something.
Campus Life :
The campus life is amazing. There are students from every part of the country. There are a lot of extra curricular activities happening, sports is also quite popular with the students. College has its sports arena, a football ground, tennis court and a lot of other indoor sports are also played. Robotics is also popular. Regarding gender ratio, Yes, there are a little less girls in the College.
Hostel Facilities :
No, I used to be a day scholar. Although I used to live around 25KMs far from the college, but I didn't want to stay away from my home, therefore I used to commute daily in order to reach College even though it used to take me around 2 hours each side.
Alumni/Alumna :
Yes, the seniors are quite helpful and the alumni network is strong too. There are a lot of seniors I'm still in touch with via different social media platforms.
Admission :
I got admission in year 2012. Those days, entrances were based on a competitive exam called AIEEE. Nowadays there is JEE MAINS for the entrance. Only the top scorers are able to get in. After IIT Delhi, it's the mist difficult College to get in, and certainly the best too.
Faculty :
Most of the professors were quite knowledgeable and also good in behaviour. Some professors however didn't take much interest in taking classes and preferred teaching only once in a while. Nonetheless, most of them were good and quite helpful and attentive to students.
