Remarks :
Studies and placements can be better. Transport facilities is only available during day which creates lots of issues for students. We have to come timely in order to catch the bus otherwise its too difficult to came back hostel.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I opted for Computer Science and Engineering in Bachelor of Technology.The exam structure is like the theory paper is of 60 marks and 40 marks is for internal for semester examinations. There is no odd even semester rule.
Placement Experience :
There is pretty good opportunity for freshers to make a career from BGIET. Many companies including HCL, ORACLE, IT BY DESIGN, HP, cognizant, Microsoft and pretty much more companies visit every year for placements with good stipends
College Events :
Techfest, fresher's party, annual day, students day, teachers day, sports day and so much events organised in our college which creates enjoyment in new comers to make their dreams true, teacher participates too.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Feasibile fee structure about 70000 including hostel per semester. Hostel facility is pretty good and food quality is average, rooms are big in size including multiple sharing rooms, having pure ventilation.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
No scholarship for general, scholarship only available for backward classes and they have to fill forms for that including their cast certificate verified by their state government, mostly north east students came and enjoy benifit of that.
Campus Life :
Many events organised in our college including fests, annual fest, tech fest, students day, teachers day, and much more, movie promotion also done sometimes in our college, students also organised their own games on north east day.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel is very big including 100 rooms for double sharing having good space, cleaning, food quality is average, rooms are big in size including multiple sharing rooms, having pure ventilation and a terrace too for proper enjoyment
Alumni/Alumna :
Seniors are very helpful and interactive, their is no ragging environment in hostel, students must respect their seniors in return they will offer you respect too. They also provide lots of ideas for freshers to survive.
Admission :
I have given the IIT-JEE exam and got selected in this college. There are more ways to enter in this college by Private entrance, punjab entrance examination and so on. There is Post graduation also available for the students.
Faculty :
There is faculty resident in our college which is very helpful. Our faculty is well qualified. Mostly M.tech and PHD holders with the lots of years experiences. They are very supportive amd knowledgeable and contains good practical knowledge.
