Remarks :
School is in it's initial stage and it'll grow with coming years as JNU itself is the topmost university in country, school will also hold it's standards and will live up to it. It is quite good institute for people who are seeking for social development with engineering.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Course Curriculum is well and good as they have made it with consultation of IIT Delhi's Faculties and Boards. And IIT is just neighbouring the campus, so it is a perk for engineering here. They take 2 mid-sem and 1 endsem exam. They do conducts labs frequently and it is quite hectic schedule of 9 to 4 or 6 sometimes. And as I'm doing engineering here, we do try to make innovative projects here.
Placement Experience :
As this school have just started its way, there are no alumnus of this school as first batch will passout in 2023. But, as we can see the progress of few individuals will surely get high packages which will create a good image later on. School is planning to provide intership to 4th sem students this time.
College Events :
School have just organized a Hackathon named HackJNU which was great success and got quite appreciative feedbacks from participant. It was first and unique hackathon with parallel DJ night and cultural activities. Our students are also planning to organize it's first fest in October 2020. We can count on that by seeing efforts of organising team.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Being a government institute, School has a different fees structure for different social section of our society. Tution fees: ?62, 500 per sem- for Open/OBC category with income more than 5 lakh per annum. ?20, 667 per sem- for Open/OBC category with income from 1 lakh to 5 lakh per annum. ?0 per sem- for Open/OBC category with income below 1 lakh. ?0 per sem- for SC/ST category. Other fees: around ?13, 000 per year. It is quite expensive for middle class families but then all engineering colleges are. Some even charges more than this.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
No financial asistance is given rather than relaxation in tution fee. Except you can avail external loans for tution fee from govt or private banks, school will just help you providing documents about it but nothing more than that.
Campus Life :
School does have different cultural societies like dance soc, debate soc, etc and technical clubs like robotics web dev club, robotics club, etc. Some of them are quite active. Being in a central university it gives extra cherry on the top, as it gives exposure to all kinds of people coming from subjects like student politics to world history to biotechnical world to every single subject you can imagine of plus central universities have diversity of ethnicity that only few colleges can give. Campus is quite progressive in issues like gender sensitization and more.
Hostel Facilities :
There are enough hostel till date that everyone gets coming from any oart of country gets hostel. Hostel infrastructure is quite good comparative to other govt hostels but they also charge more than any govt hostel. ?11, 000 per sem for room rent and electricity/water etc charges excluding mess bill.
Alumni/Alumna :
As school doesn't have alumni, me being in first year have a seniors of second year. Seniors are interactive and helpful. JNU is quite progressive campus in India so there's not even a chance of ragging.
Admission :
After announcing of JEE mains ranks, JoSAA starts admission process of counseling in which i got this college and i chose this. As Electronic and Communication Engineering is already a good branch scopewise, so i decided to get here.
Faculty :
Faculties are mostly good, as my school haven't been fully established as it started two years back only, we have guest faculties from another schools of universities and from IIT Delhi. Most of the faculties are Doctorates.
