UEC - The Best Facilities with Good Dedication

Remarks :

College supports most of the activities we put. One big negative I saw is the lack of trees. During summer it is very hard to go from one block to another. The existing trees are not helpful in giving shades. Overall trees are few in numbers.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Course curriculum is OK I would say. There is no pressure for completing the labs or exams. The syllabus is vast and we only have limited amount of time for completing the whole portion. If want one can set priorities during the course.

Placement Experience :

Every year companies come for hiring students. So job opportunities are not lacking. Many companies like Wipro, Bosh and other reputed ones come. They offer a decent stipend. It's upto the students to take the offer or not. The college provides enough help.

College Events :

Many events are conducted by the college like cultural, technical, sports etc. The tech fest conducted is very big and huge participation is found. Students from other colleges come for participating. Cultural events are well established and variety of programmes are conducted. Students play a major role in it.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fee structure is same as that of any other engineering colleges. However my college offers scholarship for students from their previous results or from the exam they conduct. Standard fee is ?75000. Thourough scholarship it gets significantly less. Some even study free of cost. They only have to pay exam fee and other necessary. Tuition fee can be controlled.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

College provide sufficient scholarships. I am a student who is getting benefitted by scholarship. My tuition fee is ?25000 because of good marks in 12th. There are many other scholarships which the college offer. Government scholarships are also available from college.

Campus Life :

Apart from studies, there is a focus on extracurricular activities like sports, events, tech fest etc. Management provides enough support for this side. Every year sports day is conducted and many sports events are arranged. The programs are appreciated by all. Proper guidance is given to male as well as female students.

Hostel Facilities :

Per month hostel rent is ?1250. I am a day scholar. I have seen the boys hostel. It is fairly ok. The rooms are share based. Daily food is not provided by the hostel. There is a hotel below the hostel. The infrastructure is good but the rooms are less compared to other college hostels.

Alumni/Alumna :

The programs conducted for the seniors / alumni is very entertaining to do. It is very helpful. We get to share our thoughts on many aspects. With the interaction of seniors we try to give the best memorable moment for the alumni.

Admission :

I got the admission thourough entrance merit list. The admission process was simple, you just have to qualify the cut off rank. Then we can select the desired college and stream. I chose mechanical engineering over other stream because this course makes me more lively as I am interested in studying and working with machines, automobiles etc.

Faculty :

Almost all the faculties are devoted to the respected subjects they handle. They are well qualified for the job. Interviews are conducted by the board for recruiting staffs. In my point of view every faculties do their job willingly.

Students who have completed their sixth semester can start their placements. Infosys, Wipro,TCS, digitalcore, USTGlobal , Sutherland, Accenture etc had taken placements from last years. The average package starts from 120000 lpa and highest was 700000lpa. This year itself more than 800 students was placed in different companies.
