Remarks :
positive: 1. good discipline 2. good infrastructure 3. well structured laboratory. 4. guidance from professors 5. extra curricular activities. cons: 1. only IT based company mainly recruits us which becomes a problem for ece student.
Course Curriculum Overview :
My fascination was ECE from beginning. So inspite of having the chance to opt for cse( which is considered to be superior then any other branch), I opt for ECE, which is electronics and communication engineering. The course curriculum is more or less good, it would have been better if there is some introduction of new age technologies.
Placement Experience :
IEM provides 100% placement every year mainly for ece and cse stream. Many it based companies like tcs, wipro, cts they come for recruitment. College provide us aptitude classes also which helps us in clearing apti round very much.
College Events :
The main two events for which our college is famous is 1. innovacion, 2. iempact. first one is techno management fest, while the 2md one is cultural fest. every year many people gather here. These fests are of huge success every year.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Compared to other colleges under MAKAUT, I must agree that IEM has some what higher fee structure. Per semester fees is around 53K. So relatively it is a little bit higher than other makaut colleges.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
For economically backward students, IEM provides scholarship. although I do not have any clear idea about this. And yes during the time of admission they offered loan facility to students also. IEM offers student loan.
Campus Life :
In first year we used to have extra curricular class like yoga and karate every week. The labs are very good I must admit. The instruments are highle accurate and being taken care well. We have to do each and every experiment accurately.
Alumni/Alumna :
IEM's alumni network is worldwide. We have an alumni association also, where every year they gather together. They also interacted with us and guided us about jobs, placements, higher studies like Gate, Mba, ms etc.
Admission :
I appeared for jee main and wbjee in 2017. Then i enrolled myself into the enrollment process of wbjee. In 2nd counselling based on my wbjee rank i took admission into IEM. There are many branches available, I chose ECE.
Faculty :
Faculty of my college is no doubt great. More or less each and every professor of my stream has immense depth knowledge about their corresponding specialization. Theh are very helpful also. They inspire me very much to write research paper and to do innovative project.
