Academic Focused College

Remarks :

Missing on the Extra curricular activities and competitions. Focuses majorly on academics. No 24 hour sitting space like some of the other Colleges. Also missing on the soft skills development classes and collge fests. Has a really good faculty otherwise and really well designed courses.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum is designed quite well. The students are able to achieve the exposure required to study the subjects. Assignments are designed by the faculty in such a way that it helps the students to gain an insight of the outside business society.

Placement Experience :

The companies that offer internship opportunities in this College are good. You have to do a 240 hour compulsory internship at the end of 2nd year. The College helps you to procure the internship through internshala. You can also request the College faculty , teachers to help you in the same, as most of them come from the corporate background.

College Events :

Enactus,Vaayu, Social Responsibility Forum. The fests are organised by the College clubs. Some of the clubs like Enactus kickstart projects each year to eradicate the social issues. While fests like Vaayu are more of cultural fests. Sports club and Debsoc ( Debating club) are some of the other clubs of the College.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

It's quite expensive for the students who belong to middle income family. But the College designed the course in such a way that we are able to study the subjects that are there in an honours degree (for Bcom).

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I am not aware of any scholarships being offered or the loan facility by the College. Later, tried to inquire regarding the scholarships but they are meant for the SC ST and no academic performance scholarship is being offered.

Campus Life :

The College lacks in sports, extra curricular activities and even doesn't have its own sports ground. College is Just a 9 floor building. Some efforts are made by the College clubs to promote sports in College but not everyone is able to avail that opportunity.

Alumni/Alumna :

They help you by guiding you , if you want to pursue some additional course along with your degree. With the help of their guidance you are even able to manage the time that you need to pursue those additional courses. They can be contacted by talking to the admin department.

Admission :

You have to appear for the NPAT exam and have atleast 60% in your class xii board exam. Due to limited number of seats in each course, you have to list down your preferences and then you get shortlisted as per the rank that you have secured.

Faculty :

The faculty of the College is quite qualified. Most of them have quite a good number of years of teaching experience. While some of the teachers are fresher's but still they are able to teach flawlessly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The particular knowledge should be concentrated and applied more in the course instead of theoretical knowledge Every semester there's an exam conducted for final results to review and testify what the students have understood and acknowledged from the particular course.

Placement Experience:

From the 6th semester, one gets eligible for placement. No idea about the packages. And more than 70% according to me might have been placed. I am further studying the professional course and will be going into the profession of teaching.

Very non fussy and dedicated to study type.of college with no nonsense approach to studies.

Admission:

I chose this college mainly due to proximity to my house which was then in thane. And also because the college had a fairly good reputation.Since I had got very good marks in 10th standard admission process was a breeze. Chose this course because I was very commercially inclined.
