Remarks :

It has state of the art infrastructure which is improving every year and is expanding its way into other disciplines such as chemical and civil engineering.

Entrance Preview :

I took IIT JEE mains exam for the enterence in indian school of mines .I scored 2932 rank in IIT JEE mains. I opt for the indian school of mines because it is the only college in india for mining engineering.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Indian school of mines is only the college for persuing mining engineering. I think it is the best college and the faculty were also very co operative they help us in our final year project.

Internships Opportunities :

I got a chance to intern with BCCL. This internship was in the field of mining, where I got an opportunity to do research assignment on the mining techniqes. I was offered a stipend of Rs. 50000 per month. The duration of my internship was for 10 weeks.

Placement Experience :

Around 26 companies including both consultancies and trading companies visit campus for recruitment. Name of Companies visiting campus for recruitment: Companies like Accenture, ANMSoft Technologies, AMDOCS, Canon India Pvt. Ltd., HCL, Adobe, facebook, samsung, microsoft, ericcson, amazon etc. visit ISM Dhanbad every year.Average Package: 6 LPAMaximum Package: 56 LPA (off-campus) and 16.03 LPA (on-campus)% Placement: Out of 45 eligible students 38 were placed.

College Events :

Srijan is the Annual Cultural Festival of Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad. Students from all parts of the country participate with zeal and enthusiasm to win some of the most coveted awards at stake. It is organised every year in the month of March. The festival is not only panorama of events to test the cultural and techno-management skills of youth from all over the country. It not only test the cultural and techno-management skills of the youth from all over the country, but it also endeavors to bring together eminent technocrats, scientists as well as professional artists from round the globe, all in an attempt to bestow a memorable and spellbinding experience.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

ISM Dhanbad's admissions are based on JEE-Advanced level(Joint Entrance Examination)along with other IITs.Tution Fee RS 39,242/- per semester which is affordable.

Campus Life :

Tap Campus Life is kind of inane and empty-headed, as none of the girls exhibit anything close to a personality. Still, its harmless enough if youre interested in the novelty of running your own sorority. The female to male ratio is improving (otherwise it is sarcastically spelled as Indian School of Males).The student hostels at ISM are named after precious stones such as Ruby, Sapphire, Diamond, Opal, Emerald, Topaz, Jasper and Amber.

Hostel Facilities :

The school provides rooms in the Hostel to all students. Here the students stay in a healthy atmosphere and perfect living conditions along with friends to share the precious moments of life. Separate hostels for boys and girls with modern amenities help

Alumni/Alumna :

It has a notable alumni network all around the world under the aegis of ISMAA. Some of its alumni have been Padma Bhushan, Padma Shri awards and many are leading top firms.

Exam Structure :

Exams and labs are very frequent and we are having hectic day during exam because we have a lot of pressure on ourself to perform good in exam.

Good but not up to the level that college shows.

Placement Experience:

7th semester students become eligible for campus placements . There are many companies visited like accenture - 300000, cognizant- 250000, wipro- 300000, tcs- 200000 Accenture - 300000 per annum. 20 % of students getting placements in the class size of 120. My palns after getting a degree is to become a web developer, frontend.

Placement Experience:

The placement season starts during 7th semester when various companies come to camous to recruit students. Top companies such as google, amazon,microsoft, coal india, texas instumentation, ONGC etc visits the campus for recruirment. Around 60 -70 percent of the students get placed every year. The highest package from the camous was about 1cr . And the average package of the college was about 15-16 lakhs Apart from the capmus placement many students apply for off campus placement for which also tge college helps.

Placement Experience:

From 3rd year one can go for placements, they are eligible. Campus placements do happen. Infosys, tcs, wipro, and many more companies visit here and hire the most skilled engineers. The percentage is obviously really good. A minimum of 80% of the students get placed in good-paying jobs.
