Remarks :

It is best university but the expenses for a poor students makes it even hard to study. Things can go better with the students if they are provided with better scholarships to keep their education affordable.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course comprises of course work which is about undertaking a research and how to conduct research and field works. Its duration is for 6 months and after 6 months we have to prepare a synopsis and present it in front of the panel of experts of the research and then we are admitted to either phd or M. Phil.

Placement Experience :

While I am a research scholar, i haven't been to internship. But yes the students persuing Bachelors and masters degree in the department are supposed to undergo a 6 month internship with some reputed organizations.

College Events :

International conferences in research and musical and cultural events are organized. Artists and researchers from across different nations participate in different events. This provides the students the experience of different things, events and contacts.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

A bit expensive for a researcher like me as I belong to poor family. The expenses during research degree are so much higher here in Delhi, india and I am finding it hard to fund my phd. Though university is providing indian rupees 5000/month which is very less as my rent for a month is 6000 indian rupees alone, then expenses on education and day today activities is even more higher.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Our university doesn't provide any loan facility but yes it provides monthly stipend for the scholars which is less then 9000 indian rupees per month. One cannot sustain on such a less amount while persuing studies in Delhi.

Campus Life :

Though I am new to the university and admitted only in November 2018 I could hardly see any extracurricular activities. But yes the university has high class stadiums and gymnasium. Also different types of recreation facilities available in the university.

Hostel Facilities :

I had applied for the Hostel but didn't got one, so had to manage a PG outside the university. I am paying 6000 indian rupees per month for the same. But if one gets the Hostel accommodation, one has to deposit only 2000 indian rupees per month in the hostel and which is affordable.

External Expense : More Than Rs. 15000

Alumni/Alumna :

Since I am new to the university I have less knowledge about the alumni network. But yes they have played a vital role in organising protests against the police brutality in the university campus in december 2019.

Admission :

I have qualified UGC-NET exam and was exempted from written test for the admission to Ph. D. but then I went through presentation, interview for the admission. The pattern is like 1. Entrance. 2. Presentation. 3. Interview/viva.

Faculty :

Highly qualified and experience in research. Professors in the department have worked for many research projects and have a vast knowledge about undertaking a research. They have better track record of organising international research conferences.
