Course Curriculum Overview :

Course curriculum is more practical oriented, 8 Semesters including 1 year Experiental learning, 6 Months FORESTRY WORK EXPERIENCE PROGRAM, Frequent forest visits, State Forest tour program, All India Tour etc. For Research, There is 6 months projects for graduate level, after graduation there is PG focused on intense research - For Silviculture, Natural Resource Management, Wildlife Sciences, Forest Biology and Tree Improvement, Forest Products and Utilisation, Extension. Graduate level have Semester exams with practicals and Viva voce, and Internals as Mid semester exams. Labs include - Soil lab, Tissue Culture, Biotechnology, Wildlife Forensics, Wood technology, Xylarium, Herbarium. Exams are intuitive though. as we can write more from experiences than mugging up textbooks. Overall the course is chilling and feel relaxed than others, Frequent forest visits will leave us more engaged and also experience raw nature in its Lap i.e Forests.

Placement Experience :

25% reservation for Range Forest Officer post of State Forest department, Placement in Plantations as Plantation Manager, KFDC Manager, Wildlife Assistant, Scientist in FRIs, Landscape Solutions Entrepreneurships, Plywood Industry, Paper Industry etc. College Provides 6 months Internship program with a daily stipend of ?267/- for an individual,

Fee Structure ?8900/ Semester, feasible. Affordable for studies, Which includes alot of filed trips, Industrial Visits, Skill development programs, All India tour, State Tour etc, Scholarships are given to those who comes from Socially, Educationaly and Economically backward communities.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Egrantz for Socially Educationaly Economically backward Communities from State government fund. Girls Scholarship from different communities. Scheduled cast students and Scheduled Tribes Student will get free education and monthly stipen of 250/-

Campus Life :

Admission :

I Got admission via allotment criteria which is based on NEET entrance exam conducted by CBSE India. I securedn 6082th rank in Kerala Level. Admission requirs physical qualifications such as Height, Chest expansion etc.

Faculty :

Faculty is very supportive, 5 Departments with HODs and Assistant Professors who are Qualified NET eligibility, Also Secured Phd from different universities of India and Abroad. Encourages students for research and Builds enthusiasm to conserve nature and natural resources.

My opinion

Course Curriculum Overview:

All india tour is a main factor for choosing this course. There are two compulsory course tours of total 40 days (South and North india tour in 2:1 split). We get to see Jammu Rajasthan Himachal Delhi Agra Punjab uttarakhand during North india tour.we are waiting for the South India trip.This course provides quality education on agriculture.We have internals and semester exams .1 sem is six months long.

Unscientific increase in the number of seats in the college is a problem here.There is no increase in the facilities required with the increase in seats.This creates problems as there is no adequate lab facilities and hostel facilities for the increased number.
