Remarks :
Positives about this College is that the College has a very friendly environment. Faculties, other staff are polite. College organize Various events which makes you feel like family. Negetive are that there are certain issues to be attended like upgradation of Computer labs. Need more area for sports and leisure activities, and also a Good canteen?.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The curriculum is now followed is given by Pharmacy council of India. This curriculum is very helpful that what we had(Nagpur university curriculum). Here this course helps in developing not only the theoretical knowledge but also helps in applying mind practically. Also more focus is given on language, mathematics required for the dose calculation and other extracurricular activities which helps in building a competitive pharmacist.
Placement Experience :
Top recruiters are TATA consultancy which offer package of around 2. 5 lakh p. a. for Pharmacovigilance job. Zim laboratories, Baidhyanath, Nikita pharmaceutical are some pharma companies which recruits M. pharm Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology students for F&D it Production and gives salary of 2. 2-2. 8 lakh p. a.
College Events :
College organize Annual social gathering called Avishkar. This event is a 1 week program which has cultural, scientific, sports and other events. College also conducts various scientific seminars and invite notable industrial personalities to share knowledge with budding pharmacist. College also celebrates world pharmacist day and spread awareness for improving health in society by distribution of free medicine, poster, nukkad natak.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
For B. Pharm course the fees is Rs. 1, 10, 000 per year for 4 years. For M. Pharm fees Rs. 90, 000 for all subjects (Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, Pharma Chem, Pharmacognosy) for 2 years. The fees for B. Pharm might increase by 5-6% per year.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The College offers Full fees waiver to all SC/ST, VJ-NT candidates. For OBC & SBC Candidate 50% fees is waved off. All this waiver is given by SAMAJ KALYAN by GOVT. OF MAHARASHTRA. Other than this for Masters students who have qualified GPAT exam gets 12, 400 p. m as a stipend from AICTE, GOVT of India.
Campus Life :
College is situated in a industrial zone. So there is no place for sports activities. College has a auditorium which helps in conducting all extracurricular activities like dance, Quiz, various competition. Labs are fully equipped and safe for conducting experiments. College has advanced instruments like HPLC, HPTLC, FTIR, UV spectrophotometer. College also has a computer lab which has out dated computers which needs to be improved.
Alumni/Alumna :
College has active alumni cell. Every year during annual function alumni meet is organised which is attended by maximum pass out students. College has its alumni group online which helps in sharing job opportunities for fresher candidate as well as experience candidates.
Admission :
Firstly, you should clear HSC with minimum score of 45-50% in physics, chemistry, biology and mathematics. I have given MHT-CET exam conducted by DTE, Maharashtra. I score 97/200 in PCB Group. Got admission on the basis of merit list based on this exam score.
Faculty :
All the faculties teaching here are well experienced. Maximum teachers here have PhD under their belts. Dr. D. R Chaple is a principal of this institution with vast knowledge in Pharmaceutical chemistry. Dr. V. D Gulkari alumni of ICT, Mumbai is the HOD of Pharmacognosy department. Dr. Upadhye, Dr. Dixit, Dr. Bakhle has great knowledge in industrial Pharmacy and Pharmaceutics. Dr. Shilpa Deshpande and Dr. Shubda Mangrulkar are the faculties in Pharmacology department. Everyone here has a experience in teaching for more than 8-10 yrs which is very beneficial for the students career and College reputation.
