Remarks :

Course Curriculum Overview :

Course curriculum includes almost every basic theory and some important ones in detail. But it doesn't ignore the aesthetic of literature. We do get to replenish our mind through poetry, stories, plays etc. It includes both internal evaluation which is more of a personal skill evaluation and a external written examination. Exams were chilled and takes place only at the end of each semester.

Placement Experience :

They're well planned and organized during the end of the third year. We get skill development training once a year. It's a three day long program that includes soft skill and personality development, interview skills etc. We don't get MNCs for placements but most companies are famous nation-wide.

College Events :

We have arts festival, union day, College day, intercollegiate fests, sports day, and we celebrate festivities of Onam and Christmas. We also conduct different cultural and intellectual activities on special days. Our intercollegiate festival named "Meshuggah" Is our biggest program and it has the average participation of 1500 students from different Colleges affiliated with MGU.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

10000 on an average per semester for regular students. SC/ST and other minorities gets concessions. Science students have to pay extra for lab facilities and practical examinations. But overall fees is definitely feasible.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I don't know much about it. But there are plenty scholarships available. Some given by the government and some given by the College yo outstanding students who excel in their studies. OBC/SC/ST/OEC category students gets government grants and College aids the students in availing them.

Campus Life :

There isn't much cultural diversity present even it was it would be perfectly normal. We are proud of our secular nature and of the gender equality present in our campus. No one feels left out. No one is discriminated and everyone is free to express their views and ideas in a respectful manner. We have quizzes and seminars almost every two weeks. There are painting and poster making competitions on special days. Every department conducts inter-departmental programs of their own.

Alumni/Alumna :

They are very friendly, motivating and inspiring. Many of our faculty are in fact alumni and they are more than happy to come back and work here. The atmosphere our College offers and the vibe is one in a million and it not only inspires academic excellence but also personal growth.

Admission :

I chose this College for its excellent faculty and the beautiful campus. The process was quite simple. It was an allotment process done online through the Mahatma Gandhi University website. You could choose different courses and Colleges and arrange them to your preference and you will be allotted a course in a College according to your merit. I chose the BA English Language and Literature degree in different Colleges and St Paul's College was my first preference and I received admission there.

Faculty :

It has an amazing range of skilled lecturers even though there are newbies, they still keep a certain standard. Most HODs have a PhD and they are very much passionate about the subject they teach. Almost all teachers are trying for a phD and they discuss their ideas with us, encouraging us in every possible way.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I strictly does not in believe in studying political science and history while doing a degree course of Economics subject because they are completely different. I had political science and history until 2 years in 4 semesters in total. I prefer to give mathematics for us as it would have been easy for us now, when we have much bigger questions to solve.

Before I'm joining the course, I had many expectations but after 3 semesters the syllabus started becoming useless and complicated. There are many topics in the syllabus which is not have to study. It's like 40% main topics and the rest are stuffed for nothing.
