Remarks :

The college was good to study the biotechnology as i have studied. The college was good safety for girls to stay in hostels. The campus has all necessary stores related to academics like xerox, printing and binding. So people dont go out of campus for anything only for foods

Course Curriculum Overview :

The coirde curriculum imcludes around all the basic topics comes under the biotechnology such as food technology, genetic engineering, bioprocess, molecular biology, bioinformatics etc. We have around 8 semesters with 6 subjet per semester and 3 laboratory practicals.

Placement Experience :

The placement was not that much good. But the placement training was offered to all the students from that we can leaen the aptitude, problem solving and language skills that might help people to get job in off-campus. We can go for internship by our own. The college will provide off duty on internship period.

College Events :

The college have culturals and annual day celebrations every year. The college also conducts various department seminars, conference and call for internationalamd national speaker to address the students about various research and academic topics

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fees is feasible when compared to other colleges. I have pad around 54 k per year for tuition fees. Apart from that we have to pay exam fees for every semester which will cost around 2000 rupees.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The college provides scholarship amount of around 5000 rupees for every year. The college also supports to get educational loan from all banks. It also supports the student to get all the scholarships provides by state and central government

Campus Life :

The college have a good outdoor and indoor stadium for sports activities. The laboratory has all basic equipments to conduct the experiment but not advanced ones. The lab classes were mostly had basic and necessary experiments involving the equipment available.

Hostel Facilities :

I have stayed in the hostel through the course. The yearly fees was around 60k for accommodation amd food. The room was given in sharing basis of around 4 people. The hostel was spacious. The food was good amd hospitality was quite satisfied

Alumni/Alumna :

Yes. The seniors have become the recruiters for us when we go for outcampus drive. We are connected to our seniors by social medias that help us to be in touch with them for several years. The college rarely conduct alumni meeting for passed out students

Admission :

I have applied for the Anna university counselling which held in 2014 at guindy campus, chennai, Tamil nadu. In this i have opted the K S Rangasamy college of technology from around 50 colleges that offer the biotechnology course.

Faculty :

The faculty was good and the most experienced one. The faculty mostly prefers modern teaching techniques like PowerPoint presentation that helps people to understand the concept easily. Several assignmnet and groups discussion with the involvent of faculty also done.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements start in the 7th semester. Due to the recession, there is a lot of backlash when it comes to placements. It has been quite poor for the last few years. But it depends on how the student is prepared for the competitive world.

Placement Experience:

Placement is good for the CSE and IT departments. You can't expect placement if you belong to other departments, there is a placement for the other departments but very less. Campus placement starts in 3rd year itself. They have special classes for Aptitude skills and interview preparation GD and necessary preparations for job placement opportunities. 90% of students from CSE and IT get placed. The average package is 7.5 LPA you can expect a minimum of 3.5 LPA. If you are willing to go for higher studies you can contact the international relation office they have good relations with other universities abroad, they have students exchange programs, research scholarships etc if you are not planning to seat in placement. I plan for higher studies and research after my Btech.

Placement Experience:

The placements in my college is very good and top companies hire students across every branch with a good amount of package. At the end of 3rd year every student is elegible for the placements in college. About 20 to 25 companies visited for campus hiring and approximately 700 offers were given across the college from every branch. 60 percentage of students got placed in the campus hiring program. Highest package is 24 LPA and the aveyis 5LPA. My plan is to get into a good MNC company which is related to Aerospace technology.
