My College

Remarks :

I don't find any flaws in our college in terms of course or academics. Office staffs could perform better and can try to give a bit more attention and respect to students rather than treating them as if they're some slaves waiting for their sign and attention

Course Curriculum Overview :

Our course curriculum is quite good compared to other colleges. We have only one University exam and three internals / sessionals per year. They never leave any portions incomplete. We aren't provided with projector since our course duration is only two years but our faculty does teach us well.

Placement Experience :

Myself being a D.Pharm graduate got selected in a campus interview conducted by Life Pharmacy, UAE whose CEO is the alumni of our college and am waiting for my Visa. As far as I know our college is known internationally for it's excellent placement opportunities for deserving candidates.

College Events :

Our college celebrates Hindu fests quite well since it's a Hindu college. We celebrate pharmacy week on November every year. Every day will be filled with lotz of fun. We also have pharmacy day function and we used to go to rallies. Frequent workshops also takes place in our college.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

My course is basic course so I didn't get charged much and I didn't have to pay donation too. But when I applied for lateral entry I was asked to pay a great sum as donation excluding the high fee and other stuff.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I didn't take any loans during my course period but I applied for a scholarship during my second year. The dark side of our college is the office staff. They treat us as if we're some sort of slaves. They don't have a bit of respect for the students and even for a single sign we should through nook and corner of the office and college too sometimes. I took great effort but I didn't receive any scholarship (Scholarship was external. Our college personally doesn't provide any such thing at present).

Campus Life :

I don't know much about sports and other extra curricular activities because am not such an out going person and I don't participate but as far as I know the seniors took very good care of us. We were juniors of our college so we didn't have much attention eventhough they helped us quite well. Lab hours are the one which we enjoy the most. As we have half day of practicals we never get bored of our syllabus and I don't find any flaws in it.

Hostel Facilities :

Am a dayscholar so I don't know much about hostel. But as far as I know our college hostel doesn't provide non-veg food. The hostellates are allowed to go outing once on week days from six to eight and Saturday and Sunday from morning to evening. Strict rules are followed in the college gates and no hostellates is sent out without him/her signing into the register and submitting his/her biograph. While going home they're asked to get a mail printout from parents and get it signed by class in-charge and hostel warden or the parents themselves are asked to get their children in person.

Alumni/Alumna :

Of course they're. Seniors juniors relationship is quite good as far as I know. Coz when myself and one of my friends were very devastated coz of an issue, our senior was the one who helped us get out of it. She's working overseas right now but despite her busy schedule she helped us in our dire situation.

Admission :

Myself and my family simply went to see the college since it is in our affinity but we're quite impressed by the environment and atmosphere so ended up joining there the very next day. Eventhough I wasn't satisfied much I joined there for coz of my parents.

Faculty :

Our faculty is diverse ranging from Ph.d students and lecturers to professors and HODs despite us being the basic / primary graduants. They never ditch their duties and will be easy going simultaneously sincere.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I had chosen pharmacy because it has a wide scope in the field of research and development in the future. 1:25 is the ratio of faculty: to students. The faculties are too good, they are very helpful for our studies.

No entrance examination I took. As per course 30 open management seat is readily available.I scored 79% in plus two. This college has a history of 20 years teaching and low fees structure comparitively.

Admission:

Submit your certificates and make a payment of 25000 through demand draft and thus completely book your seat. Then fill your personal forms and attend the interview. The whole details of the fee structure and if needed the loan facility will be arranged by the college and they also provide nice hostel facility too for the both girls and the boys out there studying in the college.

Remarks:

If you're sure about shining from Pharmacy field then JSS would be the best choice for it. There is a belief in the pharma world If you go to any industry or Hospital with pharmacy graduates working with them then you are mist likely to find at least one Graduate from JSS. That's the strength of JSS and in almost 99% of the case the belief is true.
